Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen Return to CNN for New Year’s Eve Celebration

As a long-time viewer of CNN, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen returning for another New Year’s Eve celebration. Having watched them for eight consecutive years, their friendship and camaraderie have become as much a part of my NYE tradition as the Times Square ball drop itself!

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are returning to CNN for its annual New Year’s Eve celebration.

This year will be the eighth straight year that the friends have jointly organized the event, broadcasting the world into the new year live from New York City’s Times Square. It was confirmed by the host of “Watch What Happens Live” in October that they will be serving drinks this year.

CNN reporters will start their real-time broadcast as the world’s clock hands reach midnight on December 31, beginning at 7 a.m. Eastern Time. Our journalists will be reporting live from various global cities such as Paris, London, Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Dubai, Seoul (South Korea), Athens (Greece), and many more locations.

8 p.m. ET marks the commencement of Cooper and Cohen’s event. It will feature a lineup of musical stars such as 50 Cent performing from his Las Vegas residency, Sting, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Diplo, Lil Jon, Mickey Guyton, and Patti LaBelle. Additionally, the comedic performances will be graced by Whitney Cummings, Amy Sedaris, Sasheer Zamata, Ziwe, Adam Devine, and several others.

Other CNN correspondents will offer real-time updates as they attend various festivities, such as those taking place in Key West, Florida, Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Prescott, Arizona, as well as from the throngs of Times Square and at Madame Tussauds.

As the clock strikes midnight Central Time on New Year’s Eve 2025, I’ll be joining Sara Sidner, Harry Enten, and Cari Champion at CNN, live from Austin, Texas, as we countdown to the new year together!

On New Year’s Eve, you can enjoy the live broadcast of CNN’s event “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen” through Max (for subscribers), CNN’s website, or on CNN’s connected TV and mobile apps if you have a pay TV subscription.
