On the latest episode of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, Andie MacDowell shared that she’s dealing with a unique form of nepotism, which she calls “reverse nepotism”, due to her daughter Margaret Qualley‘s newfound fame.

Actress from The Way Home commented on nepotism, stating that people often blame it on children. Yet, she pointed out her own situation: “I’m fortunate now, as I am Margaret Qualley’s mother and Jack Antonoff’s mother-in-law. It’s a double advantage, if you will.

MacDowell shared with Jimmy Fallon that she’s been getting letters from folks, many of whom are 13 and admire her greatly. This newfound fanbase could be attributed to her 30-year-old daughter who has undeniably helped her reach a younger demographic.

In another part of their chat with Fallon, MacDowell commended her daughter’s acting in the film “The Substance“. “The movie is amazing, and she’s so daring. She’s much braver than I could ever have been,” said the star of “Groundhog Day“. “She forged her own path and I couldn’t be more proud of her.
