Andrés Reisinger has created a unique furniture and decor line called the Winter Collection, exclusively for Gallery Collectional, which draws inspiration from the gentle light and tranquil pace of winter. This collection includes a sofa, an armchair, a blanket, a lamp, and a room divider. The Winter Collection will debut at Gallery Collectional’s Dubai location on February 6, 2025.
Among all the items in the collection, the Winter Sofa, which offers an innovative twist on upholstered furniture with its snowy-hill like white cushions and skirt that cascades onto the floor like melting ice, is the most substantial. However, it’s the Snowdrop Armchair that truly steals the show due to its soft feather texture and unique igloo shape. The collection also includes the Canvas Blanket, a fluffy white throw that mirrors the texture of the Snowdrop Chair.
The Bow Divider serves as both a functional partition and an artistic piece, drawing inspiration from the stunning visuals of shattered ice formations. Its transparent panels scatter light softly, creating a soothing radiance, while the design casts delicate shadows that playfully dance across walls and floors. Additionally, the Lamp presents a stack of three light sources softened by a graceful pink fabric drape enveloping its frame. With an undeniably ethereal feel, this lighting setup is certain to help combat some of the winter’s melancholy feelings.
The Winter-inspired style of this year’s collection is inspired by a virtual house concept, Winter House (2022), dreamt up by the artist in 2022. Shades of pink, white, and gray, along with textures reminiscent of snow and frost, were employed to design the shared “metaverse” dwelling created in collaboration with architect Alba de la Fuente.
