Angel Legion tier list – Pick the right girls for your team

In Angel Legion, it’s beneficial to employ heroes boasting exceptional abilities right from the start. However, it’s not always possible to secure top-tier characters immediately. To build a robust team, aim to summon as frequently as possible, utilizing daily free summons whenever available.

As an avid fan, I’m confident that with good team synergy, almost any hero can shine. The Angel Legion isn’t overly demanding in this aspect, provided your heroes are well-upgraded. However, as you progress further into the game, having a top-tier Angel Legion hero becomes crucial for smoothly clearing stages.

F2P-friendly? Not so sure…

To kick things off, let me start by saying that this can be F2P if you make the right decisions. More often than not, if you want to be among the best players, it will be close to impossible as a F2P – however, you will manage to reach a comfortable position if you are lucky enough and pull the right heroes. This is a gacha though, so the P2W aspect is always on the table depending on how far you’re willing to go to get the heroes you want.
With all these out of the way, let’s dive into the Angel Legion tier list! Use the links below to check out a specific tier you might be interested in.

1 S+ Tier

  • Miya – Mysterious Girl (your main character)
  • Hino Azusa – Magic Arrow
  • Chiyo Kinjo – Phantom Blade
  • Sakura Tachibana – Sakura Dancer
  • Miwa Suzuki – Deadly Shadow
  • Riana – Arcane Scholar
  • Hevas – Time Guardian

Miya serves as the Master of Ceremonies for the Angel Legion, and is the character you initially customize upon starting to play. She’s versatile regardless of equipment setup, as she can be quite durable, effective at buffing allies, and capable of dealing significant damage, all in a single hero package.

Magic Arrow stands out as a formidable damage inflictor, adaptable in any position. Her active skill has a high frequency of use, and she’s capable of boosting the energy of her entire column. If combined with a hero who can cause stuns, you create a potent duo.

In simple terms, Sakura Dancer is an outstanding healer in the Angel Legion. Her ability to eliminate negative effects (debuffs) from her team makes her a valuable asset for any squad, whether you’re focusing on Player vs Environment (PvE) or Player vs Player (PvP) scenarios.

2 S Tier

  • Irene – Dragon Knight
  • Hana – Butterfly Girl
  • Maiko Tono – Storm Witch
  • Aoi Takemoto – Shura Killer
  • Shirley – Raging Angel
  • Vera – Dark Shooter
  • Valkyrie – Valkyrie
  • Joan of Arc – Saint of Orleans
  • Sophia – Mental Healing

The Dragon Knight excels at area-of-effect (AoE) attacks, making her an outstanding choice for clearing PvE content. Investing in this hero is beneficial as she can assist you in tackling challenges right up to the end game. Despite being vulnerable to counterattacks in Player versus Player (PvP), she shines particularly well in PvE, earning her a top-tier status, essentially being a god-like figure in that context.

Joan of Arc is an exceptional tank, capable of lasting for extended periods in combat. She has the ability to increase the amount of healing she receives, which makes her a durable tank indeed. Additionally, she can help protect her team by reducing some of the damage they sustain.

Vera, despite bearing a resemblance to Jinx from League of Legends, is a character worth keeping an eye on. She excels at preventing significant physical damage (ST) and has the ability to momentarily incapacitate the opponent she’s targeting with a stun.

3 A Tier

  • Euphyris – Time Jumper
  • Mulan – Filial Spirit
  • Oda Hime – Tenka Fubu
  • Rin Matsuzaka – Punk Guitar
  • Hinata Rin – Justice Blade
  • Avila – Element Sprite
  • May – Ghost Princess
  • Rose – Battle Artist
  • Sabrina – Bounty Hunter
  • Isis – Shy Girl
  • Jocasta – Hell Scythe

Oda Hime is effective at dealing damage, particularly when it comes to area-of-effect attacks. Additionally, she’s capable of weakening opponents, preventing them from recharging their energy.

Rin Matsuzaka excels as both a healer and a shield for her team. Given her role in boosting their evasion abilities, it’s crucial she has high evasion herself. However, while she performs well, she can be outmatched by top-tier healers. This is why she falls into the A-tier category.

Avila is capable of inflicting damage and imposing debuffs on opponents. She can lower an enemy’s resistance to damage, making her a dependable hero for your team. With her area-of-effect (AoE) attacks, she can be quite reliable.

4 B Tier

  • Hilti – Powerful Mage
  • Fiona – Gentle Healer
  • Doris – The Sergeant
  • Anna – Sword Master
  • Hestia – Flame Witch
  • Agraia – Justice Knight

In a more straightforward manner: Agraia might have excelled if she specialized in a single aspect instead of trying to be both a tank and a DPS. Currently, she lacks proficiency in both roles. While she can manage early on until a better option becomes available, it’s generally not advisable to rely on her during the rest of the game.

Hestia focuses on damage over time, but sadly it is not that good. She is just disappointing.

Anna is generally acceptable, but it’s unfortunate that she doesn’t mesh well with various teams. It might be wiser to choose a different character from the start rather than trying to make her work in a team.

5 C Tier

  • Sela – Shining Girl
  • Hamoniya – The Executioner
  • Ning – Swift Sword
  • Yuko Natsume – Wicked Warlock
  • Reiko Hattori – Ninja Captain
  • Su – Vivid Gunner
  • Amy – Shock Blaster
  • Laura – Bloody Spear
  • Zoe – Powerful Blade
  • Anthea – Sharp Shooter
  • Lydia – The Ruthleess
  • Ayako Shimizu – Steady Archer
  • Chiaki Akimoto – Guard Samurai
  • Martha – Aid Shooter
  • Cathy – The Priest
  • Melissa – Healing Expert
  • Nara – The Abuser

It’s advisable not to pour a lot of your resources into these heroes as there’s a good chance they won’t be in one of the higher tiers. Investing heavily here could lead to wasting resources. Instead, consider replacing them with a hero from the top of the Angel Legion tier list as soon as an opportunity arises.

6 That brings me to the next point – should you reroll?

From my perspective, I find rerolling quite time-consuming, especially considering the multiple methods available for enhancing your characters. In essence, it’s not an essential step. However, if you feel strongly about rerolling, you might need to create an additional account or even a third one for linking purposes. That being said, I personally don’t find the benefits of rerolling outweigh the effort required initially.

In this version, I aimed to make it more conversational, and also provided a brief explanation for readers unfamiliar with the term “tier list”.
