‘Angry’ Dhanashree Verma asks paps ‘what is this behaviour’ as she reaches Bandra family court to finalise divorce with Yuzvendra Chahal; WATCH to know why

Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma have officially parted ways. Moments ago, it was confirmed by Chahal’s legal representative. A video of Dhanashree has been circulating online following an incident with photographers who pursued her prior to the court hearing where she showed visible frustration.

On March 20th, Dhanashree Verma, a choreographer and actress, appeared at the Bandra Family Court with Yuzvendra Chahal regarding their divorce petition. As captured on video by paparazzi, she was immediately surrounded by them upon exiting her car outside the court.

As she navigated towards the courthouse, a woman tripped and tumbled to the ground due to the chaos caused by the paparazzi making it difficult for her to maintain her footing.

This situation left Dhanashree clearly displeased, as she admonished the photographers, saying, “What are you doing here? What’s this kind of behavior?” She could be heard scolding the paparazzi. She also checked on the woman and asked if she was alright before hastily leaving.

In the year 2020, Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot in a fairy tale wedding, with their relationship growing stronger during the COVID-19 lockdown. But starting from June 2022, they began living separately, which marked the beginning of challenges in their relationship.

In February of this year, they chose to submit divorce papers in court, stating that incompatibility was the cause for their separation.

In light of Chahal’s involvement in the Indian Premiere League 2025, which begins on March 22, the Bandra High Court has urged the Family Court to expedite the processing of the divorce petition submitted by the separated couple.

As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t contain my excitement as I eagerly awaited this day – March 20, 2025 – the scheduled divorce hearing for the beloved couple whose love story has captivated me. And just as I’ve been counting down the days, there they were, the estranged pair, making their way into the courtroom today, ready to face the proceedings that will hopefully bring closure to this chapter in their lives.

A short while passed, and Chahal’s legal representative announced the divorce, saying, “The marriage has ended, and the divorce is finalized.” He chose not to respond regarding alimony, but news outlets have reported that the Indian cricketer is set to pay a permanent alimony of approximately Rs 47.5 crores to his ex-spouse.

Significantly, Chahal has so far paid INR 2 crore, 37 lakh, and 55 thousand, but the remaining balance is expected to be settled following the issuance of the divorce decree.
