Animal Crossing – Pocket Camp Complete: How to Transfer Your Save Data

As a seasoned camper and an ardent fan of the Animal Crossing series, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia upon hearing about Nintendo’s release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete. I’ve spent countless hours on the original game, building my camp, interacting with my animal friends, and collecting an assortment of unique items.

Just about ten years since its initial release, it seems that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp might be shutting down. However, don’t fret! There is a chance for newcomers to immerse themselves in the game through the complete edition titled Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete.

Nintendo has unveiled a method for transferring all your game progress and collectibles from the original version to the latest one. The process is quite straightforward, however, you’ll need a Nintendo account for this.

Transferring Save Data to Pocket Camp Complete

To move all your save data from the original Pocket Camp to the Full Version, here’s what you should do:

  • Get a Nintendo Account
  • Link Animal Crossing Pocket Camp to Your Nintendo Account
  • Purchase Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete

When you launch Pocket Camp Complete, the game will prompt you to move your data. You’re able to connect your current Nintendo account, at which point the game will handle the process for you.

What Save Data Can You Keep?

Fundamentally, in the new game Pocket Camp Complete, players can carry forward a large part of their advancements from the original game. Notably, the connections between the campers and animals, as well as the items stored in your warehouse, will be preserved.

In the updated edition of the game, both the arrangement of a player’s Camper, Cabin, and Campsite, as well as the outfits they’ve collected during gameplay, will remain intact.

What Won’t Transfer to the New Game?

In the full version of the game, certain features won’t be present, which means that some elements won’t be carried over to the new game. Leaf Tickets are being discontinued for the Complete version of Pocket Camp, and the monthly subscription service for Pocket Camp Club will also no longer be offered.

In the updated version of the game, you won’t need a continuous internet connection as features like playing with friends, online communication, buying and selling items, or sending gifts have been eliminated. This implies that players will no longer be able to interact with each other in these ways.

New Features

Even though some aspects are no longer present, the updated game Pocket Camp Complete will introduce fresh features instead. Rather than Leaf Tickets, players will now receive Leaf Tokens as a reward for completing in-game tasks. Some elements previously exclusive to the canceled subscription have been incorporated into the standard version of Pocket Camp Complete.

Due to the unavailability of online multiplayer, the game incorporates a feature known as Camper Cards. You can produce a QR code for your friends, allowing them to scan it and receive your unique camper card in their game. Although it’s not as interactive as online play, this feature does provide a means of connecting with other players.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to transfer your save date before the June 2, 2025 deadline.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is now available for mobile.
