Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete will release later this year, allowing you to take your adventures offline

  • Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is set to shutter this year
  • However, as previously announced, an offline version is being made available
  • Containing most of the in-game content included thus far, this is a way for players to keep going, albeit offline

As a gamer who has spent countless hours of my life building camps, catching fish, and socializing with anthropomorphic animals, I can honestly say that the announcement of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is like a dream come true! I’ve been playing this game since its inception and have grown attached to my virtual campground.

Previously in August, we shared news about the disappointing closure of Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, the mobile adaptation of the beloved life simulation game. Yet, we mentioned that an offline variant was planned to let players retain their advancements, thereby enabling more individuals to enjoy the charm of Pocket Camp.

Great news! Contrary to what you might have thought, it wasn’t empty talk. In fact, we’re excited to announce that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will launch on December 3rd of this year itself! This means you can carry forward your current game progress and keep enjoying the game. Additionally, Pocket Camp Complete offers new features compared to the original version.

Firstly, the app no longer demands any in-app purchases nor a persistent internet connection. Yet, it doesn’t mean you’re alone since you can still interact with other players at the new Whisper Pass location and exchange the latest Camper Cards. Additionally, regular monthly and seasonal events are back to keep the game interesting.

Crossing over

I must say, I’m delightfully impressed by the wide range of content packed into Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete. Priced at just $9.99 for both iOS and Android devices, it’s evident that this version is set to become the ultimate edition of the game. Yet, I can’t help but feel disappointed that they didn’t revamp elements like Leaf Tokens or crafting times. Given the absence of in-app purchases, these aspects seem somewhat pointless. Nevertheless, if you’re a dedicated Animal Crossing Pocket Camp fan, this news should make you quite happy.
