ANTi COUNTRY CLUB TOKYO’s Ode to American Prep

The fondness of Japan towards American culture is profound, and it’s evident in their adaptation and improvement of iconic American items such as denim. Although the impact of workwear can be seen in certain segments of Japanese street fashion, the appeal of Ivy League prep style might be even stronger. It’s this classic American aesthetic that has inspired the latest collection from the innovative Japanese golf label, ANTi COUNTRY CLUB TOKYO.

We reached out to Cole Young, the founder of Metalwood Studio, for our photoshoot. Originally unveiled at Metalwood’s Los Angeles store on December 20th, here are some standout pieces from the collection:

1. The varsity jacket boasts brown leather sleeves and a wool herringbone body. ACC lettering adorns the left chest, while a large chenille golf ball emblem is showcased on the back.
2. Another noteworthy piece is the striped button-up shirt. It catches the eye with contrast sleeves and a vibrant color scheme reminiscent of vintage Polo Ralph Lauren, featuring shades of pink, yellow, and blue. Yosuku Sasagawa and Shino Yanagisawa, the creative directors and founder of Metalwood Studio, styled this shirt by pairing it with relaxed hoodies and over-the-knee plaid shorts.

The full collection is available now over on ANTi COUNTRY CLUB’s website.
