Anupria Goenka recalls horrifying incident when co-star ‘got excited’ while filming intimate scene: ‘Moved his hands and…’

The discussion about having intimacy coordinators on movie sets, particularly those with intimate scenes, is growing more widespread, and female actors are sharing stories of instances where their male co-stars crossed boundaries. Actress Anupria Goenka recently spoke out about encountering such situations herself. She expressed that a co-star made her feel violated during an intimate scene because he became overly enthusiastic. She had to ask him to stop touching below her waistline and not repeat the action again.

In a chat with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube platform, Anupria Goenka disclosed that on two separate instances, she encountered awkward situations while shooting intimate scenes for films.

During a kissing scene, the actress playing in the war film disclosed that her co-star, unintentionally perhaps, became overly excited and lost self-control. This unexpected behavior left her feeling unsettled and violated.

Previously, the actress from Tiger Zinda Hai reminisced about donning a costume in a scene that wasn’t easy on her comfort, anticipating her costar would notice this discomfort.

In another wording: She thought it was normal for him to put his hands around her waist when acting together, but she claimed that instead, he touched her below the waist, close to her backside, which she found both unexpected and unprofessional.

In a candid statement, Anupria Goenka confessed that the situation made her very uneasy. She reminisced about gently guiding her co-star’s hands towards her waist and asking him to maintain his grip there rather than lower down.

In that instance, instead of confronting him about his actions head-on, the actress from Asur chose a more indirect approach. Rather than questioning him, she delicately suggested ways for him to improve his performance for the next take, and surprisingly, he listened and complied with her advice.

Discussing the subtleties involved in capturing romantic moments on camera, she emphasized that screen kisses can be delivered with a sense of sweetness. Yet, she cautioned that certain performers may unintentionally become too forceful, which can make the scenario feel uncomfortable or intense.

Anupria Goenka has demonstrated her acting prowess across various films, including Bobby Jasoos, Paathshala, Tiger Zinda Hai, Sir, Padmaavat, War, Mere Desh Ki Dharti, and Berlin. Furthermore, she has left an indelible impression in the digital realm with significant roles in hit series like Sacred Games, Abhay, Criminal Justice, Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side, Sultan of Delhi, and more.
