Apple Martin Steals From Mom Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Archive Closet’ All The Time, But Says Her Mom Always Has Two Comments About It

Children of celebrities are a unique group. Despite the fact that we all live our lives, there’s no denying that certain advantages come with being labeled as a “nepo-baby,” such as Apple Martin, the 20-year-old daughter of Chris Martin from Coldplay and Academy Award winner Gwyneth Paltrow. Recently, she discussed one of these perks – having access to her mother’s stylish wardrobe from years past. However, the actress always has the same response when Apple borrows her clothes.

What Did Apple Martin Say About Stealing From Gwyneth Paltrow’s Closet?

Apple Martin, along with her younger brother Moses (now 18), previously led a mostly private life during their upbringing. However, they’ve since grown and ventured out independently, which has left Gwyneth Paltrow, now an empty nester, somewhat bewildered. Interestingly, Apple is now making more public appearances. Fortunately for Apple, who attends Vanderbilt Law School, her mother’s extensive wardrobe provides a wealth of fashion choices due to the many clothes she’s saved over the years. As she shared with Interview magazine:

Going into her archive closet is just heaven on earth.

It appears as though this is a dream come true for a fashion-conscious heir. Yet, it’s not hard to believe that many individuals unknowingly build an “archive closet” for their children. After sorting through my mother’s wardrobe, I discovered a large wicker basket overflowing with nothing but white turtlenecks. Admittedly, they were discolored and no longer suitable to wear, and I myself am not a fan of turtlenecks. However, the sheer quantity was still striking.

Regardless…The ‘Contagion’ talent has consistently been a fashion favorite, gracing the “it” list, whether it’s adorned in designer labels like Armani at glamorous events such as movie premieres or casually worn during laid-back beach holidays. Indeed, this young lady has struck the style lottery, and her mother has openly confessed to hoarding clothes for her.

Nevertheless, Martin pointed out that he often hears the same comments from Paltrow’s mother whenever she requests her old clothes. When queried about whether Paltrow meticulously organizes her belongings so as to quickly notice if an item goes missing or if it would be simple for Martin to steal something, she replied:

1. She allows me to take items because she says something like, “I’ve kept everything for you to take.” And yet, she constantly reminds me, “Be extremely cautious.”

2. She lets me take things since she’s essentially saying, “I’ve been saving these items so that you can take them.” Yet, she always advises, “You need to be very careful.”

3. She gives me permission to swipe stuff because she’s effectively telling me, “I’ve saved it all for the purpose of you taking it.” But then she’s always urging me, “Watch your step, be careful.”

4. She allows me to pilfer goods as if to say, “Everything is here so that you can pilfer it.” However, she’s always warning me, “You must take care.”

5. She lets me swipe things, implying, “I saved everything for the purpose of you taking it.” But then she reminds me, “You have to be careful.”

6. She grants me permission to snatch items, suggesting, “I’ve kept all this so that you can take it.” Yet, she always cautions, “You must handle with care.”

Apple Martin can pick anything she wants from her mom Gwyneth Paltrow’s closet, but she needs to be very careful. Imagine if she damaged some of Gwynnie’s designer shoes by wearing them in the rain or got ketchup on the white shirtdress she wore while dating Brad Pitt. While it might not completely break her mom’s heart, it would still be a big disappointment and possibly leave a small void in her Goop-loving spirit.

Ultimately, I believe I’d follow Apple’s lead, taking the risk. If you fancy donning a sweater that’s not quite white anymore, young lady, you know who to reach out to.

I think I’d mimic Apple and go for it. Should you wish to wear a turtleneck that’s lost its original whiteness, girl, you know the person to contact.
