As a devoted Apple enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Apple just unveiled its latest financial results for the last quarter, setting new records in total revenue and EPS for the company. For the fiscal year 2025, Q1 ending December 28, 2024, Apple reported a staggering quarterly revenue of $124.3 billion USD, a surge following the 2024 holiday season. Compared to the same period last year, this figure marked an impressive 4% increase. Additionally, the quarterly diluted earnings per share reached $2.40 USD, a significant 10% rise year over year.
During the period from October to December 2024, the company achieved an unprecedented peak in sales, breaking previous records. The introduction of the iPhone 16 models contributed significantly to this success, generating $69.1 billion USD in sales alone, despite a minor dip compared to the $69.7 billion USD in sales during the previous period ending in December 2023. In a meeting with investors, CEO Tim Cook highlighted that Apple had set a new record for iPhone users who opted to upgrade their devices. He stated, “We’ve never seen such a high number of upgraders before. The user base also reached an all-time high during this period. If you compare the 16 to the 15, which was launched in September, you’ll find that over two quarters from September to the end of the December fiscal quarter, the 16 outperformed the 15. This suggests that there are strong incentives for users to upgrade.
Regarding Mac, iPad, and service sales, they all experienced growth compared to the previous year. Mac sales jumped to nearly $9 billion USD from $7.8 billion USD, while iPad sales rose to $8.7 billion USD from $7 billion USD. However, home and accessories saw a slight decrease from $12 billion USD to $11.7 billion USD. Service revenues, including device warranties and Apple TV+, grew significantly to $26.3 billion USD. In a letter to shareholders, Tim Cook announced that this quarter was Apple’s best yet, with total revenue reaching $124.3 billion, an increase of 4% from the previous year. He expressed delight in offering customers our strongest product and service lineup during the holiday season. The power of Apple silicon is enabling new possibilities for users through Apple Intelligence, which enhances apps and experiences to be even better and more personalized. Additionally, Apple Intelligence will be available in more languages starting from April.
