As a seasoned observer of the dynamic world of entertainment, I can’t help but feel a surge of admiration for April King. Her journey from a humble trainee at William Morris Agency to partner at Artist Collective Entertainment (ACE) is nothing short of inspiring.
April King has joined talent agency Artist Collective Entertainment (ACE) as a partner.
King transitions to ACE from WME, a position she held for two years. She brings with her to ACE a stable of artists that includes Brandee Evans, star of P-Valley, Keri Hilson, Grammy-nominated singer and actress, LeToya Luckett, former member of Destiny’s Child, and Priya Kansara from Polite Society.
Before joining WME, King had a nine-year tenure at ICM. Her first steps into the talent management industry were taken as a trainee at the William Morris Agency.
King expressed immense enthusiasm about his upcoming role at ACE, marking a shift from being an agent into management after spending his entire career in the industry. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, he shared that ACE seems to be at the peak of identifying and boosting multi-talented individuals across various sectors, making it an ideal choice as he expands his business and vigorously champions for diverse voices in all facets of entertainment.
In 2023, the agency known as ACE was formed by its initial founders Nick Roses, Brian Sher, Eric Tomosunas, and Mona Scott-Young. This company prides itself on nurturing and advocating for a diverse roster of talent that spans multiple fields and cultures. Notable clients include Kandi Burruss, Busta Rhymes, DeVon Franklin, and Wendy Raquel Robinson. King has recently joined the existing partners Laura Pallas and Gail Tassell at ACE.
In a shared announcement, the initial collaborators expressed their excitement to the publication THR about April becoming part of the ACE team. They stated that they couldn’t envision a more suitable partner who has consistently embodied our values throughout her career. With her arrival, we amplify our determined efforts and daring vision not only to mold the future of the entertainment sector but also to establish a unprecedented level of excellence and transformative representation.
