The Canadian clothing company collaborated with artist Romon Kimin Yang, a versatile creator, to celebrate the approaching new year by creating a design influenced by “urushi” – a term meaning the natural lacquer from Southeast Asian trees of the same name, known for its healing properties and long history in crafting durable, ornamental items.

Yang, more commonly recognized as ROSTARR, was born in South Korea but moved to the United States at just one year old. This American artist expresses that his Asian heritage played a significant role in shaping the design, noting that he holds great respect for the snake, a creature he finds mysterious and beautiful.

This special edition jacket is crafted using robust triple-layer GORE-TEX Pro 2.0 fabric, Arc’teryx’s toughest and most reliable material. Not just waterproof and windproof, this N100d material also offers exceptional resistance to wear and tear. It’s no surprise given that the Alpha SV jacket is one of their top-tier climbing jackets, designed to endure the demanding conditions of mountain climbing.

This item boasts an adjustable hood that can be used with both climbing and cycling helmets, due to its unique “StormHood” technology by the brand.
