Following the conclusion of the Wicked concert tour, coupled with the striking pink and green ensembles from the 2020 Oscars, it was clear that Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo would make a strong impression this year. Yet, I didn’t foresee them literally challenging gravity with their gowns!
Indeed, at the 2025 Oscars, the stars from “Wicked” truly dazzled as they strutted down the red carpet. Both of them donned striking, large, and awe-inspiring outfits that are evoking strong vibes of Elphaba and Glinda.
To begin with, Ariana Grande donned Schiaparelli, as reported by ABC during their Red Carpet coverage. Frankly, it exuded the elegance of Glinda’s bubble gown but with a contemporary twist. Here’s a peek:
Shifting gears now to Cynthia Erivo. While Grande embodies a stunningly perfect Glinda, Erivo’s attire exudes strong vibes reminiscent of Elphaba.
Moving on to Cynthia Erivo. Grande beautifully captures the essence of Glinda, whereas Erivo’s outfit radiates a powerful Elphaba ambiance.

In essence, these women, along with their entire ensemble, are concluding the awards season spectacularly. Following an impressive year filled with stunning outfits, these ensembles serve as a fitting tribute to the success of the initial movie.
They’re equally effective at stirring anticipation for the upcoming movie “Wicked: For Good”, set to premiere on the big screen in November 2025!
