Yesterday, it was announced that Ariana Grande will be launching an expanded edition of her hit 2024 album, titled “Eternal Sunshine,” through Republic Records.
Upcoming Album: “Eternal Sunshine Deluxe – Brighter Skies Ahead” boasts six fresh tracks by the critically acclaimed, multi-Grammy winning artist. The initial album, dropped nearly a year ago to the day, placed the vocalist at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for her sixth time and saw two songs [“Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”] reach No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart.
Since the premiere of the Academy-nominated movie “Wicked”, its star has experienced a chaotic yet fruitful few months. She secured her initial Oscar nomination for portraying Glinda in the screen adaptation of the beloved stage musical; the sequel, titled “Wicked: For Good“, is set to hit cinemas later on this year.
2025’s Academy Awards were opened by host and co-star Cynthia Erivo, with Ariana Grande taking the stage first to sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Later, Erivo performed “Home” from The Wiz, followed by a joint rendition of “Defying Gravity,” a portion from the musical Wicked, with Grande.
Based on the tone of the stage musical, it seems that the second part of the film might be more intense compared to the first one. Ariana Grande had earlier shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she’s still in the process of recovering.
Discussions about Ariana Grande’s future endeavors in acting and music have been a popular subject since the premiere of Wicked. “I would absolutely love that,” she expressed. “I feel incredibly blessed to have numerous creative avenues, and it’s wonderful that we can explore so many artistic ventures. We often find ourselves donning multiple roles.
