Ariana Grande Responds to Elvira’s Claim That Singer Declined a Photo Op: “I Sincerely Apologize”

As a long-time fan of both Ariana Grande and Elvira, it is heartening to see these two iconic figures engaging in a friendly dialogue about their past encounter. It is clear that both women have had unique and challenging experiences in their respective industries, and this situation serves as a reminder that even the brightest stars can struggle with anxiety and navigating public situations.

This week, Ariana Grande countered Elvira’s statement that she had previously turned down an opportunity for a picture together.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “Hey there, fellow gamers! You know that iconic Horror Hostess, Elvira, aka Cassandra Peterson? Well, she made headlines recently for sharing an awkward encounter at Knott’s Berry Farm. Seems like Ariana Grande rolled up with a big crew to one of Elvira’s shows, but when it came time for a snap with the legend herself, Grande passed on the opportunity!

The actress, known as the Mistress of the Dark, shared a video online (which was later posted by Peterson). In it, she mentions that when she arrived, she had 20 guests with her, requiring 20 plus one more ticket. “I’ll give you the gist of it…”, she says. We agreed to her request and handed over the tickets. Later, backstage, she asked if I could take photos with all her friends and family who accompanied her.

In the video, Peterson explains that she followed the request and even signed autographs for the group. “I asked if we could take a picture together,” she recalls, “but she replied, ‘No, I generally don’t do that.'” According to Peterson, Grande departed from the show prior to Elvira’s performance, leaving the rest of the audience behind.

In a comment on Elvira’s post, Grande politely addressed Peterson’s statement, explaining that she feels saddened by it because she can’t recall meeting him due to an anxiety attack. She mentions leaving the event before her family, which was about seven years ago and during a time when she found large crowds or noisy places challenging. If her recollection of the encounter is incorrect, she apologizes sincerely for any offense caused.
