Ariana Grande’s Glinda Gown Will Leave You Breathless in Wicked: For Good’s First Poster Reveal!

Among the many exciting films slated for release in 2025, none has me more thrilled than the eagerly awaited “Wicked: For Good”. To express my awe upon watching its predecessor would be quite an understatement. I’ve been meticulously examining subtle hints and foreshadowing details during my rewatch of the first movie. Given this anticipation, I can hardly wait to catch a glimpse of the sequel’s poster, which showcases Ariana Grande’s dazzling new costume as Glinda.

Starting from Monday, participants at CinemaCon in Las Vegas will get sneak peeks at several highly-anticipated films coming up next year. Before the convention even starts, a Cinepop reporter noticed the debut of the official Wicked: For Good poster on one of the elevators. Here it is:

Wow, isn’t that stunning? Cinepop posted a photo of a poster to X too. The captivating design showcases Cynthia Erivo, wearing a green makeup look, as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda once more. However, it seems they’ve progressed in the storyline. Elphaba is positioned on the left side of the poster, donning a fresh black outfit and her signature hat that Glinda gifted during the “Dancing Through Life” scene. She’s also carrying her broom. Yet, what truly leaves me speechless is Grande’s beautiful pink and blue dress. It perfectly embodies the essence of Glinda!

Previously, we observed the actress portray Glinda from the initial Wizard of Oz, adorning that captivating pink gown during Wicked’s opening scene. However, this new appearance elevates beauty to a whole new dimension. The unique, flared sleeves and see-through material are my favorites. It’s no surprise that Jon M. Chu’s movie won the Best Costume Design award at this year’s Oscars, as Paul Tazewell undeniably poured a great deal of effort into it.

Experience the magic of “Wicked” on Peacock TV, starting from just $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year! For a more premium experience, opt for the Peacock Premium plan and enjoy ad-free streaming as well as the ability to download titles to watch offline at your convenience. Grab this deal now!

Regarding the overall design, the poster features the two main characters perched on separate ledges to represent how they’ll reside in distinct areas of Oz following their disagreement. The tagline “You will be changed” fits perfectly, as it echoes the lyrics from their Act II song titled “For Good.

Additional aspects worth mentioning are the yellow pathway resembling a brick road connecting them and the monkeys flying overhead in the backdrop of the scene. I can’t help but feel envious about what CinemaCon attendees might get to witness of the upcoming second film, as Universal prepares its presentation. However, since TopMob will be there, you’ll receive updates on whatever gets screened in the near future. Last year, during their presentation, the studio showed Erivo and Grande, Chu, and other cast members, along with the initial footage from the movie.

Chu has been tantalizing us with sneak peeks at “Wicked: For Good,” and I can hardly wait to see how the movie version unfolds, particularly given the second half of the Broadway musical. Although a poster wouldn’t necessarily stoke my excitement, catching a glimpse of the new costumes – notably Grande’s captivating dress – definitely ratchets up my eagerness. Be sure to catch the film when it hits theaters on November 21.
