Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘FUBAR’ Season 2 Release Date Finally Revealed!

It’s now been two long years since Netflix debuted the action-comedy series “FUBAR”, and fans who have been eagerly waiting for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to streaming services won’t have much longer to wait. The second season of “FUBAR” is officially scheduled to premiere on June 12, and in conjunction with this announcement, some new images have surfaced that offer a glimpse into what we can anticipate from the series’ second installment. Among these updates, it’s been revealed that Carrie-Anne Moss, known for her role in “The Matrix”, will be joining the cast.

In Season 1 of the entertaining spy series produced by Nick Santora, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Monica Barbaro portrayed father-daughter duo Luke and Emma Brunner. As they uncovered each other’s covert CIA roles and joined forces to defeat villains, Schwarzenegger convincingly embodied the overprotective father character. The new season finds him reprising this role, as an ex-lover resurfaces to complicate matters.

As a seasoned CIA agent, I was all set for retirement after a long and arduous career, but fate had other plans. My last mission, where I managed to rescue my own daughter from danger, has led me back into the fray. Now, I find myself squaring off against new adversaries – an old flame from my past who seeks to wreak havoc on the world. If that’s not enough, she seems determined to ruin my life before she brings destruction upon the planet.

Apart from Schwarzenegger, Barbaro, and Moss, FUBAR Season 2 also includes Milan Carter, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Fabiana Udenio, Aparna Brielle, Guy Burnet, Andy Buckley, Jay Baruchel, Barbara Eve Harris, Scott Thompson, and another legendary figure. Similar to the first season, the second one consists of eight episodes. The action star hinted to Tudum that it’s “even bigger and better” with more humor, more content, and yes, even more legends!

Carrie-Anne Moss Calls Arnold Schwarzenegger a “Hoot”

Portraying the former East German spy Greta Nelso, Moss has a history of action-packed roles under her belt. Her portrayal of Trinity in The Matrix has become iconic, and when she was offered the chance to work with Santora on Season 2 of FUBAR, it was the prospect of collaborating with another legend that truly excited her about the role. “The idea of working alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger seemed almost too good to be true — what an incredible opportunity!

It turned out to be quite spectacular because the pair enjoyed themselves immensely during filming, particularly when Moss had to dance. In fact, the first time I encountered him was during a dance rehearsal. We simply dove in and it was an absolute blast. He’s just full of laughter!

Over time, we became acquainted, initially through practice sessions, then on the film set, and later bumping into each other at the gym and having morning meals together. To put it simply, our interactions were consistently enjoyable.

According to Santora, serving as showrunner once more, the team has mastered delivering captivating actions, humor, and richly developed characters. The joy experienced during filming is evident in the final product, making viewers laugh when FUBAR Season 2 premieres on Netflix on June 10, 2025.
