Arshad Warsi gives BRUTAL review of Kalki 2898 AD, calls Prabhas ‘joker’ in the hit film: ‘Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar’

As a seasoned actor and a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I find myself constantly intrigued by the diverse talent and opinions that our industry harbors. Arshad Warsi, with his unique perspective and unapologetic candor, is no exception. His recent review of Kalki 2898 AD on Samdish Bhatia’s YouTube channel has left me both amused and thoughtful.

Arshad Warsi has been creating quite a buzz online as he shared his thoughts on the movie Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas. In his review, Warsi drew a comparison between Prabhas’ character and the Joker, while expressing admiration for Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the film. Furthermore, Warsi discussed extensively about Prabhas’ life, career, and personal aspects.

Lately, during an interview on Samdish Bhatia’s YouTube channel, Arshad Warsi shared that he recently watched Kalki 2898 AD. Although the movie didn’t appeal to him, he couldn’t help but commend megastar Amitabh Bachchan for his performance in it.

Expressing awe for Big B’s performance, he exclaimed, “I simply can’t fathom that man! If we possessed his abilities, our lives would be transformed beyond measure. He’s otherworldly.”

He went on to provide his candid assessment of Prabhas in the film, saying, “Prabhas, honestly, I was disappointed. He seemed more like a jester. But I expected a Mad Max character – like Mel Gibson. What happened here? I can’t comprehend why they portrayed him this way.”

During the same interview, the actor expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Animal.” He stated that he hadn’t encountered a world like the one portrayed in the movie before, referring to it as a product of human imagination, which he found captivating.

Arshad emphasized his viewpoint that films are primarily designed to entertain rather than educate. In addition, he pointed out that people enjoy Marvel Studios’ Avengers because it presents a unique, unseen world. Furthermore, he admired Anurag Kashyap’s filmmaking style, explaining that it never bores him as it introduces him to different realms, similar to the Kennedy director.

In terms of his professional endeavors, Arshad is set to appear in Subash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 3 along with Akshay Kumar. This humorous courtroom drama also features Huma Qureshi and Saurabh Shukla in significant roles. The production house behind this project is Cape of Good Films, collaborating with Disney, and the film is slated for release on April 10, 2025.
