Arshad Warsi says Ajay Devgn has 'wicked sense of humor'; REVEALS how Black sequence in Golmaal was improvised

As a dedicated follower of Bollywood, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing some truly entertaining films, and Arshad Warsi’s Golmaal is undoubtedly one of them. The 2006 blockbuster was a perfect blend of laughter, witty dialogues, and an ensemble cast that made it an unforgettable ride.

Rohit Shetty’s movie “Golmaal” is often seen as one of the most enjoyable films from his career. Given its title, it was indeed a non-stop laugh riot. The 2006 film is admired for its side-splitting dialogues, physical comedy scenes, and stellar cast. Lately, Golmaal actor Arshad Warsi disclosed that his co-star Ajay Devgn has a mischievous sense of humor. Arshad also unveiled the behind-the-scenes story about how they came up with the memorable “Black” scene in the movie.

In a recent chat with Mashable India, Arshad Warsi shared an interesting tidbit about the “Black Scene” in Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. It turns out that this spontaneous scene was not originally part of the script.

As I reminisce about my time on set, I must say it was an absolute blast! Ajay Devgn, much like a mischievous jester, possesses a wicked sense of humor that had me in stitches. We found ourselves getting carried away with this whimsical madness, and I couldn’t stop laughing at his antics, particularly when he would break into fits of laughter himself, claiming it was about to snow (barf padne wali hai). Let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the joy of indulging in a little bit of silliness, and Ajay’s humor made every moment on set an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for more of these hilarious adventures!

During an interview, Arshad Warsi disclosed that the scene was written directly on the set while filming Golmaal. He mentioned that he and Ajay, his co-star, played out the scene exactly as it appears in the final cut. The scene, which brought much laughter, also included actor Manoj Joshi.

Fun Unlimited features Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Sharman Joshi, and Tusshar Kapoor as its main characters. These actors play the roles of four friends named Gopal, Madhav, Laxman, and Lucky who find themselves in a series of amusing predicaments. Additionally, Rimi Sen, Sanjay Mishra, Paresh Rawal, Sushmita Mukherjee, and Mukesh Tiwari also appear in the 2006 film.

So far, Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal series has produced three additional films: Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again. It is currently planned for a fifth installment, Golmaal 5, to be released next. A sneak peek at the upcoming movie was given in the song “Aankh Marey” from Simmba, which came out in 2018.

Recently, Rohit Shetty shared with TopMob that a fifth installment of the Golmaal series is indeed in the works. “It’s definitely happening,” he emphasized, adding, “The Golmaal franchise isn’t going to stop anytime soon.” However, it seems we have some waiting to do before it graces our screens.

Recently, Arshad Warsi appeared in the movie titled “Bandaa Singh Chaudhary,” directed by Abhishek Saxena. This film made its debut on the big screen on October 25, 2024.
