As a connoisseur of timepieces and a collector with a penchant for personalized pieces that resonate deeply with my life experiences, I find myself utterly captivated by the Artisans de Genève’s latest masterpiece – the Patek Philippe Aquanaut ref. 5167A in “Eternal Green.” This watch is more than just a timekeeping device; it’s a testament to Mr. V.B.’s journey, a memento of a specific time and moment etched in his life.
Artisans de Genève recently showcased a revamped version of the Patek Philippe Aquanaut model 5167A, featuring a rich, deep green color reminiscent of foliage.
Known as “Eternal Green,” this watch has been beautifully redesigned with a new aesthetic that takes into account the client’s tastes while also preserving the heritage of its original creators. Mr. V.B sought to reinvent his ref. 5167A in a manner that acknowledges his personal milestones, making it a keepsake representing a special period and event in his life.
The intricate design of the original 324 movement has been meticulously revamped to showcase a skeletonized style. Each fresh component is carefully beveled, polished by hand, and coated. Although it remains within its classic watch casing, a new chapter ring undergoes an “Eternal Green” PVD treatment.
Additional changes include the addition of newly installed yellow-gold hour and minute hands, a steel balance bridge, and a handcrafted and decorated gold rotor. To match the watch’s color palette, a unique rubber strap is specifically designed by Rubber B, a collaborator of the Swiss independent workshop.
The cost for this customization is around 58,520 CHF (around $69,015 USD). To read more about the process and story for “Eternal Green”, head over to its dedicated webpage. Every case by Artisans de Genève is uniquely priced on the nature of the customization. Those who are interested can inquire via Artisans de Genève’s official website.
