As a die-hard Bridgerton fan with countless hours invested in the high society drama, I can hardly contain my excitement upon hearing Simone Ashley‘s recent comments about the future of Kate and Anthony. Having watched their enemies-to-lovers romance unfold over two seasons, I found myself rooting for these characters more than any other couple in the series – a fact that might have something to do with Jonathan Bailey’s captivating portrayal of Viscount Anthony Bridgerton.
Following the third season of “Bridgerton” being a standout on the 2024 TV lineup for romance enthusiasts, viewers can anticipate another character from the aristocratic family finding love in “Bridgerton” Season 4. Yet, many devoted fans of the show are still caught up in Kate and Anthony’s relationship after their captivating enemies-to-lovers tale. As I mentioned earlier, the pairing from Season 2 deserves a spinoff, but what does Simone Ashley think about it?
In a chat with the magazine Premiere (originally in French, then translated to English), the actress who portrays Kate Bridgerton shared insights on her future involvement with the Netflix series following their appearance last season as secondary characters in Penelope and Colin’s romantic storyline. When queried about potential developments for the pair, she responded:
Indeed, they’re on point! Definitely, the idea intrigues me that Kate and Anthony might have their own Bridgerton spin-off series. While it’s uncertain if it would take off, I find myself eagerly anticipating such a development. The richness of this universe and the depth of these characters suggest there’s plenty more to uncover about them. Without revealing too much, I believe there could be numerous seasons dedicated to Kate and Anthony in the future!
Indeed, it seems that Simone Ashley is actively brainstorming ideas for her character in Bridgerton! Not only has she recently discussed the show’s future with the series’ showrunner Jess Brownwell, but she’s also been proposing concepts about what lies ahead for Kate. It’s wonderful to know that these suggestions are being taken into account.
As a devoted Bridgerton fan, I must admit that at the start, Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor’s love story was the heart of the series. However, as the seasons unfolded, their characters seemed to take a backseat. Despite this, Dynevor graced our screens for several episodes in Season 2, but it was Regé-Jean Page who chose to bid adieu after Season 1.
As a devoted Bridgerton fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the significant turn of events for the beloved couple, Kate and Anthony, in Season 3. They made a momentous decision to start a family, which was further intensified by the Viscount proposing they journey to his wife’s ancestral homeland, India, to welcome their new addition.
