As a hardcore gamer and a massive fan of both James Bond and Aston Martin, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard about the House of Q pop-up experience in London. The 007-inspired attraction, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic film “Goldfinger,” is an absolute must-visit for any Bond or Aston Martin enthusiast.
1. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the James Bond movie Goldfinger, Aston Martin has revealed House of Q – a 007-themed pop-up experience located in London’s exclusive Burlington Arcade, which runs until August 4th. This one-of-a-kind attraction invites visitors to peek behind the scenes of Bond’s legendary DB5 and explore Aston Martin’s enduring bond with the film franchise, providing a unique look into its storied history.
1. Inside a disguise as a magazine newsstand at House 12-13 Burlington Arcade, the enigmatic House of Q is secretly located. As you step inside, coded signals direct you towards a concealed door, revealing an underground speakeasy bar. This hidden gem is filled with authentic technical sketches and components from the iconic DB5, creating a captivating atmosphere for patrons. Sipping on Champagne Bollinger, guests are enveloped in the compelling tales of Aston Martin and 007’s adventures.
Marco Mattiacci, the Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer at Aston Martin, expressed his enthusiasm for the anniversary celebration, saying, “Aston Martin and James Bond are two iconic British entities that have always been connected. The House of Q provides our followers with a distinctive way to honor this extraordinary history.”
Beyond just visiting a regular bar, the experience offers the Configurator Lab – an area where visitors can customize their own Aston Martins under the guidance of brand specialists. The design and technical teams from Aston Martin are also organizing daily activities, such as design seminars.
Trupti Shah, Commercial Director of Burlington Arcade, emphasized the importance of the partnership, saying, “We’re delighted that Burlington Arcade gets to share this special occasion with Aston Martin and James Bond. It’s an honor for us to be the iconic location marking this significant moment in film history.”
At the present moment, you can visit The House of Q, designed by Aston Martin, situated at 51 Piccadilly in London.
