- Atelier Resleriana releases end-of-service announcement within a year
- The developers couldn’t meet the standards they set
- All services end on March 28th
Koei Tecmo has revealed that as of now, approximately a year after its global debut, Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and Polar Night Liberator will be permanently closed down. This announcement signifies that in-game transactions will stop on January 27th, with all operations coming to an end on March 28th. In the meantime, a series of events have been scheduled to allow players to relish the remaining gameplay.
After realizing they couldn’t maintain the high standards they established, the developers have decided to discontinue their operations. While they will continue to work on enhancements and events, it has been determined that continuing the business isn’t sustainable. However, players can still use Lodestar Gems for various activities until the shutdown. Buying new gems is no longer an option.
If you’re among those who have experienced Atelier Resleriana, you might find this news less unexpected. The gacha market is overflowing with numerous contenders fighting for recognition, which makes it challenging for fresh launches to grab attention. Despite its intriguing concepts, Atelier Resleriana faced some significant hurdles.
Critics frequently pointed out issues with Gacha and banner rates, causing some players to feel dissatisfied with their progression. Unfortunately, the alchemy mechanics, a key feature of the Atelier series, didn’t live up to expectations, lacking the creativity many had anticipated. While the gameplay itself was decent, it wasn’t compelling enough to rival other games in the genre that offered more engaging experiences.
From the get-go, Atelier Resleriana seemed to be swimming against the current, and looking back, it’s possible signs of trouble were already evident. Despite numerous requests from players on Twitter and Reddit for an offline version, it seems unlikely that such a development will occur. If you’ve found pleasure in the turn-based RPG, don’t forget to savor these remaining months before the journey concludes.
And if you’ve decided to move on immediately, then here’s a list of the right now!
