Today brings news of another upcoming game launch! This time, though, we have something slightly new on our hands: Athena: Blood Twins, an MMORPG, is about to join the list of recent Western arrivals. In Asia, it has already amassed a staggering 10 million downloads. Fingers crossed that its dark fantasy RPG appeal will captivate Western players just as effectively, with its release scheduled for May 15th.
Instead of Odin: Valhalla Rising’s grimmer interpretation of Norse tales, Athena: Blood Twins presents a unique perspective set within a fractured mythology rooted in ancient Greece. The goddess Athena is divided into two contrasting aspects – one embodies chaos and the other upholds order. As the player, you’ll assume command over these two entities.
In Athena: Blood Twins, you’ll find a selection of different character classes to choose from initially, including the Warrior, Mage, Archer, and Cleric. As you progress, you can unlock more advanced classes, experiment with unique skill combinations, and personalize your character using a wide range of cosmetic options.

It seems very promising, yet I couldn’t help but observe that Athena appeared somewhat hesitant to demonstrate the gameplay for us. Upon further investigation, I managed to uncover some and found it to be a visually appealing isometric MMORPG. Nothing groundbreaking, just wanted to make sure you know what to expect.
