Atomfall Patch Brings Quality-of-Life Changes

Summary

  • Atomfall’s latest patch fixes bugs and improves the overall gameplay experience.
  • Changes have been made to mouse controls, the game’s camera, weapons, and more.
  • Atomfall has been an incredible success for Rebellion Developments, with more than two million players jumping in during the title’s first two weeks.

The newest update for “Atomfall” has been rolled out, offering numerous enhancements to promote a more seamless gaming experience. This fresh update for “Atomfall” tackles recurring issues like bugs and crashes, as well as refining certain aspects within the game set in Northern England-inspired locales.

Since its release on March 27, 2025, the number of players for the game titled “Atomfall” has been steadily increasing in April. Just a few days ago, developer and publisher Rebellion Developments announced that their nuclear-themed survival action-adventure game had been played by over 2 million users during its first fortnight, marking it as the most successful game they’ve ever created to date.

Following the resolution of the bothersome silence issue in Atomfall with the previous update, this latest series of improvements further enhances the gaming experience. For PC users, the adjustments include an enhancement to mouse controls that were previously causing some lag and erratic movement. Additionally, players will find navigation smoother as new fixes prevent the camera angle from spinning wildly post autosave and prevent the game map from getting stuck on a specific region after a player has moved out of it.

Additionally, certain regions have undergone adjustments as well. The Interchange zone in Atomfall has received three distinct bug fixes to facilitate smoother navigation through the subterranean mechanical maze. An issue that previously prevented players from accessing the Lower Robotics area even after solving the puzzle has been rectified, allowing them to obtain the appropriate punch cards for the facility. Furthermore, the spore cloud in Medical no longer harms player characters if they lack sufficient health or necessary healing items, as it would normally do. Furthermore, region-specific changes have been implemented to address visual and potentially progress-hindering bugs in Wyndham Village, Casterfell Woods, and Skethermoor.

As an ardent fan of Atomfall, I’ve noticed some exciting updates in the game lately. Previously, some players were encountering issues where they lost ammo when they discarded a ranged weapon that was stored in one of their equipped slots. However, the recent patch has addressed this issue, ensuring that we keep our ammunition even if we choose to clear up space by disposing of a gun or bow.

Moreover, there’s been an aesthetical enhancement with explosive lures. Once you’ve pulled them, they will no longer show the pins on the devices for a cleaner look.

Lastly, and this is quite exciting, the descriptions for the Modified JM-3 and its variants have been rectified to accurately describe the gun as fully automatic. This should make it easier for players to understand the weapon’s characteristics. Overall, these changes add to the overall gaming experience!
