To mark its 150-year milestone, Audemars Piguet is showcasing an exciting array of innovative timepieces, demonstrating a blend of functionality, comfort, and visual balance.
The top models feature a set of three references, each incorporating AP’s latest perpetual calendar mechanism, known as the Caliber 7138. This new movement allows users to easily adjust all functions using a single crown, enhancing both comfort and readability. These self-winding perpetual calendars make their first appearance in a 41mm Code 11.59 model made of 18-carat white gold, priced at approximately $145,540 USD. In addition, two 41mm Royal Oak models, one in stainless steel and the other in 18-carat sand gold, are also available for around $122,366 USD each. All of these designs are patented.
The festivities carry on with the next piece, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked “150th Anniversary” Limited Edition, which is notably the final reference to utilize the Caliber 5135 movement. This new timepiece draws inspiration from the Ref. 25729PT openworked Royal Oak pocket watch of the ’90s and accurately translates its captivating dial onto a 41mm titanium wristwatch. With only 150 units produced, this unique timekeeper comes with a hefty price tag of 175,000 Swiss Francs (approximately $195,919 USD).
AP is broadening its collection of elaborate timepieces by introducing the 38mm Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon, a testament to its long-held tradition of crafting intricate mechanisms. Adorned with a lustrous design made from 18-carat sand gold and embellished with 235 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case middle and lugs, this sophisticated watch boasts the ultra-thin Calibre 2968 RD#3 movement. This exquisite timepiece is the first self-winding flying tourbillon to be offered in this size, priced at approximately 149,000 CHF or $166,811 USD.
