As a passionate movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share that the filming for “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled next month, and it’s just received an update as massive as the TVA itself! The Russo Brothers are back at the helm, and they’ve got an intriguing twist up their sleeves. Instead of Kang the Conqueror being the main antagonist, we’ll see Robert Downey Jr. reprise his role in the MCU as the iconic villain, Doctor Doom.
While the sequels may no longer center around Kang, they promise a shocking link to an organization that was once menaced by a multiversal threat. So, buckle up Marvel fans, it’s going to be an exhilarating ride!
As per Forbes, “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled to start shooting at the end of this month at Pinewood Studios in the UK, under the production title “For All Time Productions.” This title isn’t just a nod to the TVA from Loki, but also hints at the storyline’s exploration of various time and space periods. Given its role as the conclusion to the contentious Multiverse Saga, it seems quite apt for this film. Additionally, the report suggests that it will likely be filmed simultaneously with “Secret Wars.
Currently, Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced the full cast for “Avengers: Doomsday” except for the main antagonist. Nevertheless, there are rumors that Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Anthony Mackie, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach might be joining the upcoming Avengers installment. Given that production is about to start, it’s likely we’ll hear an official main cast announcement soon.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Is Already a Major Source of Leaks
Contrary to Marvel Studios’ usual practice of keeping secret the backstage workings of their movies, images from Avengers: Doomsday, even before the cameras start rolling later this month, have been leaked. Although Marvel Studios promptly removed them from the internet, observant fans managed to catch a peek of Doctor Doom, Fantastic Four, and other characters in the upcoming Avengers sequels. It’s important to note that such concept art rarely reveals the complete story or resembles the final product closely. Additionally, the production team asserts that the highly detailed artwork is not a cause for concern.
The Russo Brothers have clarified that the previously mentioned concept art wasn’t actually intended for the upcoming Avengers films, thus avoiding any potential spoilers. However, it’s understandable how their earlier work might have led to speculation due to the leaks. As Forbes detailed, it’s reported that Disney invested approximately $8 million in pre-production before Robert Downey Jr. and the Russos were officially confirmed for Doomsday and Secret Wars at San Diego Comic-Con.
