The much-anticipated film titled “Avengers: Doomsday” has officially entered production and will be gracing the silver screen within a year. To kick off a year-long buildup to Marvel Studios’ upcoming large-scale ensemble, they are setting up a booth at Osaka Comic-Con.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is widely recognized for its significant impact at prominent pop culture gatherings, including Comic-Con events. Notably, the head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, frequently addresses crowds at San Diego Comic-Con and D23 hosted by Disney, to unveil major updates about upcoming MCU films and series on Disney+.
Even though San Diego Comic-Con is still a few months away in July, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating significant updates about “Avengers: Doomsday“. Prior to that, various other countries and cities will host their own Comic-Cons, and Marvel Studios has already planned some events for Japan.
Marvel Studios has revealed that they will set up a “Pathway to The Avengers” exhibit at this year’s Comic-Con in Osaka, marking their upcoming films. The exhibit will highlight the release of “Thunderbolts* ” (which is slated for the same weekend), as well as “The Fantastic Four: First Footsteps ” and “Avengers: Last Stand“.
2025 saw the occurrence of Osaka Comic-Con within Intex Osaka, spanning from May 2nd (Friday) to May 5th (Sunday). This event was included in Japan’s Golden Week, a yearly stretch featuring numerous national holidays and cultural activities that draw both locals and tourists, often resulting in increased tourism.
At the “Road to the Avengers” stand, you can see a design reminiscent of Stark Industries technology from their different facilities. This booth provided an exclusive photo opportunity for “Avengers: Doomsday“, as well as other upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, to generate excitement about the franchise’s future.
Additional images shared on Marvel Studio Japan’s official X account showcased various photo spots, one depicting the Thunderbolts team and another recreating Reed and Sue’s vintage future residence from The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The last section of the booth was dedicated to honoring “Avengers: Doomsday“, marking the grand unveiling of the main cast by displaying a picture featuring Robert Downey Jr., along with the arranged seating for the actors.
Standing before the screen, I eagerly caught sight of the fresh emblem for “Doomsday,” a milestone on the Road to the Avengers that had me buzzing with anticipation. It was a tantalizing glimpse into one of the highly-awaited movies of the coming year.
Avengers 5 Marketing & Announcements Will Heat Up This Summer
At Osaka Comic-Con, Marvel Studios was present, yet the ardent fans didn’t get much news about the MCU’s upcoming plans. Usually, significant announcements are saved for San Diego Comic-Con, happening this year from July 24 to 27. As of now, details about Marvel Studios’ participation at that event remain undisclosed.
Given that the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con marks the last one prior to the release of “Avengers: Doomsday,” it wouldn’t be unexpected for Marvel Studios to stage one of their iconic, massive Hall H panels, led by Kevin Feige, to showcase their future projects.
2025 and 2026 releases, featuring “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” and “Avengers: Doomsday,” should receive special attention. However, it seems that “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” might not join the festivities because of Sony’s involvement.
Without a doubt, the focus will shift towards “Avengers 5”. There’s a strong possibility that we might get a first look at Robert Downey Jr.’s costume for Doctor Doom. The studio has already disclosed 27 main cast members of “Avengers 5” during a lengthy live stream, but there could be additional actors to announce at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Fans might gain additional insights regarding upcoming Disney+ projects such as “Wonder Man,” “Vision Quest,” the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again,” and a special presentation of “The Punisher.
It’s clear that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has encountered some challenges in more recent times, but the upcoming year promises a significant promotional campaign for the movie titled “Avengers: Doomsday“. This campaign aims to reassemble fans and generate enthusiasm similar to what was seen with “Endgame“.
