It’s worth mentioning that the Series S seems to be pushing its limits, but the developers are tirelessly working on optimizations to ensure a smooth gaming experience.

Regrettably, the less potent Series S will only provide options for 30fps and 40fps. While Series S owners may feel let down, given all the sacrifices made for this console, this situation turns out to be optimal.
Any gamer who’s dabbled in modern video games can attest to the fact that 30 frames per second is more than sufficient for gameplay. However, it’s impressive that Avowed, running on the Series S, promises a smoother 40 fps. Many developers might have opted for sticking with 30 fps, as we’ve seen in recent PS4 and Switch releases. So, kudos to them for pushing the boundaries a bit more. Granted, the Series X version will offer a superior experience, but that’s not necessarily a drawback.
There’s high anticipation for this upcoming Western RPG, with numerous gamers viewing it as a temporary stand-in for The Elder Scrolls 6. Developer Obsidian Entertainment mentioned that it won’t possess the extensive playtime of Skyrim, which is positive news for some and less so for others. At minimum, Obsidian aims to deliver an enjoyable experience, as demonstrated by The Outer Worlds.
