Baba Siddique Shot Dead: Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility for politician's death; ‘Salman Khan, hum ye jung nahi chahte the...'

As a lifestyle expert with extensive experience in navigating the complexities of the political and entertainment worlds, I am deeply saddened by the tragic and senseless killing of Baba Siddique. This incident underscores the dangerous undercurrents that exist within our society, and it is a stark reminder that we must strive for peace, unity, and harmony at all costs.

On October 12, 2024, Baba Siddique, a leader of the Nationalist Congress Party and former Maharashtra minister, was fatally shot. Now, Lawrence Bishnoi‘s gang has admitted to the murder. A viral Facebook post by one of its members suggests that the killing was due to Siddique’s connections with Bollywood actor Salman Khan and criminal figures Dawood Ibrahim and Anuj Thapan. The post reads, “We didn’t want this fight with you, Salman Khan, but you have harmed our brother.

The post read, “Om, Jai Shri Ram, Jai Bharat,” followed by, “I understand the essence of life, and consider wealth and the body as dust. I did only what was right, honouring the duty of friendship. Salman Khan, we did not want this war but you made our brother lose his life. Today the pool of decency of Baba Siddique is closed or at one time he was under MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) with Dawood. The reason for his death was his links to Dawood and Anuj Thapan in Bollywood, politics, and property dealings.”

The text reads: “We bear no grudges against anyone. But, be aware, anyone who assists Salman Khan or the Dawood group should take caution. If any of our kin are harmed, we will retaliate. We do not initiate conflicts. Hail to Lord Ram, Hail to India, salute to the heroes.

Previously, two individuals taken into custody for shooting were reported to be associated with a well-known criminal organization. However, this organization hasn’t acknowledged their involvement in the murder, which has sparked heightened safety worries.

According to reports, Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has stated that two people have been apprehended in relation to a shooting incident. One of these suspects hails from Uttar Pradesh, while another is from Haryana. Furthermore, Shinde noted that one more attacker remains at large.

According to reports from ANI, Baba Siddique suffered an attack inside the office of his son Zeeshan Siddique, who is an MLA, in Bandra, Mumbai. He was severely injured and taken to a hospital. It appears that multiple gunshots were discharged near him around 9:30 pm.

At least six bullets were fired near Zeeshan’s office, with four striking Siddique in the chest. Police, suspecting the attack to be a contract killing, have set up four special teams to investigate the case.

As a devoted supporter, I myself paid my respects to Baba Siddique’s family by visiting Lilavati Hospital in bustling Mumbai. Accompanying me on this solemn occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, prominent police officials, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale from RPI (A), and even Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar. I firmly stated that those accountable for this heinous act would face stringent consequences.

Notable Bollywood personalities like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, and Raj Kundra made their way to express condolences to the bereaved family of the late politician. It has been reported that Salman temporarily halted his Bigg Boss 18 production duties. Initially counseled against visiting the hospital due to security concerns, Salman eventually went to meet the family of Siddique at the hospital later on.

Beyond just political leaders, Baba Siddique, a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, had close ties with many stars from Bollywood. He was widely recognized for organizing extravagant Iftar parties in Mumbai, which drew big names such as Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.
