As someone who has closely followed the vibrant world of Bollywood and politics for years, I must say that the tragic demise of Baba Siddique has left a profound impact. His larger-than-life persona, warm bond with celebrities, and tireless service to the people of Maharashtra made him a unique figure in both spheres.
The passing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique has stirred great sadness across the nation. Notable figures such as Yuvraj Singh, Saqib Saleem, Bipasha Basu, Riteish Deshmukh, Lulia Vantur, and Raj Kundra have expressed their grief over his demise through their social media accounts.
Last night, Baba Siddique was tragically killed by three gunmen close to his workplace. This notable political figure had a close relationship with numerous celebrities, which is evident in the glamorous Iftar parties he hosted. Consequently, several stars expressed their sympathies for his passing on social media.
Riteish Deshmukh posted on his account that he was deeply saddened and shocked by the death of Shri Baba Siddique. He sent his condolences to Zeeshan (his son) and the family, wishing them courage during this tough time. He also insisted that those who committed this terrible crime should be punished.

Lulia Vantur, who is a friend of Salman Khan, posted a picture of him on her Instagram along with the message “Rest in peace.” For those who may not know, Baba Siddique was a close acquaintance of Salman Khan and he consistently supported Baba during interviews.
Additionally, Saqib Saleem, another individual who held a strong relationship with Baba Siddique, reminisced about their encounters and called for “severe penalties” against those responsible.
It was heart-wrenching to learn of Baba Siddique’s passing. Every encounter I had with him was bathed in warmth and love. May his spirit find eternal peace. I send my deepest condolences to his family during these challenging times. I pray for justice, ensuring those responsible do not escape the consequences.
Besides these visits, celebrities such as Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra, made a trip to the hospital where Baba Siddique was admitted during the nighttime hours. In the morning, Raj Kundra expressed on his Instagram account that he viewed Baba Siddique as more than just an acquaintance, but rather as a brotherly figure.
He wrote, “We are devastated by the untimely loss of Baba Siddique Bhai. A man who embodied kindness, bringing people together wherever he went. My partner has not only lost a brother-in-law but a guiding light, someone he saw as a second father. Baba, your loss is unbearable, but those responsible will answer for it!!!”
Apart from Bollywood personalities, cricketer Yuvraj Singh also expressed that the politician was a genuine and compassionate leader. The cricketer was dismayed by Baba Siddique’s unexpected demise and penned down, “Stunned and heartbroken over Baba Siddique’s sudden passing. A true leader who dedicated himself relentlessly to the welfare of the masses, his sincerity and generosity will be fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to know him. My sympathies go out to his family during this tough period. May his spirit find everlasting tranquility.
On the night of October 12th, Baba Siddique suffered gunshot wounds to his stomach and chest as he departed from his son Zeeshan Siddique’s MLA office. With haste, he was transported to the nearby Lilavati Hospital, but regrettably, he succumbed to his injuries.
