BABYLON x NEIGHBORHOOD Drop Punk-Inspired Capsule Collection

As a gamer and a huge fan of streetwear culture, I can’t help but be thrilled about this explosive collaboration between BABYLON and NEIGHBORHOOD. Having grown up in Southern California, the raw aesthetic of punk music and the distinctive ’80s style of Venice-based artist Ric Clayton resonate deeply with me.

The duo behind BABYLON, which is led by Trash Talk members Lee Spielman and Garrett Stevenson, has teamed up with Tokyo-based NEIGHBORHOOD for an exciting collaboration. This union combines BABYLON’s gritty West Coast vibe and NEIGHBORHOOD’s refined Japanese artisanship, leading to a powerful blend of cultural influences.

The collaboration centers around the art of Ric Clayton, a well-known Venice artist famous for his iconic punk band designs such as Suicidal Tendencies and Excel. His unique ’80s style, marked by skulls and waves, is vividly present in the entire collection.

The capsule presents an assortment of clothing articles including custom button-ups, long sleeved shirts, and T-shirts. Distinctive items boast all-over print Hawaiian skull motifs, evocative of punk culture’s gritty aesthetic. Dan Regan, a Venice-born photographer, captured this collection along Southern California’s coastline, while Eaddy and Jean from Ho99o9 modeled it.)

BABYLON and NEIGHBORHOOD teamed up to honor this partnership with an art exhibition by Ric Clayton at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles, which took place on July 12. The event features four fresh creations by Clayton, along with his classic pieces, until August 11. The opening night was filled with energy as Trash Talk gave a captivating backyard performance that extended onto Melrose Avenue.

The exclusive collaboration between NEIGHBORHOOD and BABYLON, released as a limited edition collection, can now be purchased on each brand’s main website and from chosen retailers.
