The popular artist Bad Bunny has been confirmed as the newest addition to director Darren Aronfsky’s upcoming crime thriller “Caught Stealing”. Benito will star alongside Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler in this Sony Pictures film, which is based on Charlie Huston’s novel of the same title.
So far, it hasn’t been confirmed which character Bad Bunny will portray, but Austin Butler is set to play Hank Thompson. As per the movie synopsis, the story revolves around Hank Thompson (Butler), a disillusioned former baseball player who finds himself thrust into a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underworld of ’90s New York City. Previously, Bad Bunny has ventured into acting roles; his debut appearance was on “Narcos: Mexico” where he played Arturo “Kitty” Páez in four episodes. He also starred alongside Brad Pitt as an assassin named Wolf in the Sony Pictures film “Bullet Train.” More recently, he played Felipe in “Cassandro.” Adding to his impressive entertainment career, the Puerto Rican artist is also producing Netflix’s adaptation of “The Both Die at the End,” which is based on Adam Silvera’s novel.
Earlier, it was revealed that Aronfsky had been developing an Elon Musk biopic in collaboration with A24. More recently, Zoë Kravitz has stepped into the director’s chair for the first time with “Blink Twice,” while Austin Butler has taken on roles in both “Dune: Part Two” and “The Bikeriders.” At this moment, a release date for “Caught Stealing” has not been set.
