BAL Expands Its Color Palette for SS25

For the Spring/Summer 2025 line, Kentaro Kabaya’s BAL is making a bold statement. This season, they’re embracing vibrant color schemes and multi-layered styles. Their new collection seems to reflect a clearer focus on their brand identity, blending various fashion styles from different eras – workwear, sportswear, and outerwear. The line also features collaborations with Umbro, Diemme, Taion, Russell Athletic, and Farah Japan, providing a versatile wardrobe suitable for transitioning between seasons.

In contrast to BAL usually preferring earthy and neutral tones, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection is aiming for a broader spectrum of colors. It’s exploring bold all-over patterns and experimenting with vibrant splashes of neon. Some items catch the eye in gradient shades, such as a shell and pants coated in a holographic gradient tone and a fitted top that mirrors sunset colors by blending stripes of blue, yellow, and pink.

Maintaining a departure from conventional styles is consistently emphasized throughout the presentation. This is particularly evident in the unique puffer jacket design, which is entirely black and features splits between the elbows and at the collar’s peak. Moreover, BAL frequently employs collars as bold, expressive elements, with many jackets showcasing striking, pointed collar shapes.

Umbro participates in sports apparel, presenting a mesh jersey resembling marble that displays “world wide web. bal original dot comme.” Check out BAL’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection in the lookbook above.
