In September, Balenciaga introduced a futuristic basketball shoe as part of its Summer 2025 lineup, which aligns perfectly with the sports-focused projects under Demna’s leadership following the collaboration with Under Armour. Interestingly, this shoe served as an early hint of things to come; today, Balenciaga has unveiled a comprehensive Basketball Series collection, brimming with outfits designed for the court.
This athletic collection showcases coordinating jacquard sport knit jerseys and shorts, priced at an impressive $2,190 USD each. The techno poplin tracksuit jackets flaunt the Spanish luxury brand’s name above the number “01”, as do T-shirts and long-sleeved tops in various shades such as purple, blue, black, and white. Caps also carry the House’s name and number on the rim, while sweatpants and shorts display the Loop Sports Icon logo of the brand.
The priciest piece from the collection is a semi-glossy cowhide bomber jacket, retailing for an astonishing $9,090 USD. This Italian-made item boasts a high-end silhouette with two slit pockets at the front and intricate basketball motifs embroidered on both the front and back of the design.
The Basketball Series collection by Balenciaga is now up for grabs both online and in specific Balenciaga outlets globally. Prices vary from $475 USD to an impressive $9,090 USD. Browse through the selection displayed in the gallery above.
