Banijay Entertainment recently revealed “AI, My Affection,” which is a fresh television program concept driven by technology, and it’s one of the highlights for their London TV Screenings event.
The series centers around couples who are nearing the end of their lives. Faced with this reality, they opt to utilize artificial intelligence as a means to keep their love alive. With the help of a psychologist and technology specialist, these couples spend their remaining time constructing a digital representation of their beloved. This process initiates at a gathering where loved ones share memories, letters, videos, and anecdotes that serve to mold the AI, thus encapsulating the unique traits and spirit of the individual.
Upon completion, the virtual character (avatar) is saved for later use following the death of its partner. The remaining family member, under the guidance of a psychologist, decides whether to interact with this digital entity or let it remain undisturbed.

The completed avatar gets put aside until after their companion dies. The surviving family member, assisted by a psychologist, then decides if they want to communicate with it or leave it alone following the death.
Developed and manufactured by Nordisk Film TV, a label under Banijay Nordic, in collaboration with Denmark’s TV 2, this innovative format leverages state-of-the-art AI technology. This technology is now accessible for potential buyers worldwide, included in the international distribution package.
James Townley, COO of Development at Banijay Entertainment, commented: “The groundbreaking documentary series, AI Love You, is reshaping the way technology can enrich storytelling about humans. It’s filled with intense emotions and challenges creative limitations, establishing a new standard for unscripted programming innovation. This thought-provoking idea is hard to overlook, making our London TV Screenings collection even more significant and ambitious.
Ulrik Jørgensen, CEO of Nordisk Film TV stated: “AI Love You is daring and unconventional as it combines heartfelt human feelings with advanced technology.” He went on to say: “This thought-provoking series delves into love, loss, and memory, portraying the warmth of personal relationships while exploring the unknown territory of artificial intelligence.
