Having been an avid follower of Edison Chen’s work since his early days in Hong Kong’s vibrant fashion scene, I have always admired his ability to blend tradition with modernity.
20 years after their initial collaboration, CLOT and BAPE are uniting once more to create a joint collection. This time, they’re blending classic Chinese themes with contemporary design, showcasing the fusion of their craftsmanship – a testament to their mutual dedication to quality. They’re reinterpreting the East-meets-West concept in a fresh and innovative way.
One highlight of the collection personally selected by Edison Chen, founder of CLOT, is the Chinese Jacket. This jacket showcases an exclusive pattern created by combining emblems from both brands. Available in two styles: FIRST CAMO (Green) and COLOR CAMO (Red), this jacket also boasts a distinctive knot button design that enhances its eye-catching allure.
One interesting feature is the SHARK FULL ZIP HOODIE, that creatively reinterprets BAP’s iconic style by switching the “SHARK FACE” with a “DRAGON FACE.” This innovative design still maintains the distinctive shark teeth pattern. The Crewneck Sweater and Sweatpants ensemble harmoniously incorporates both shark and dragon graphics, further accentuated by vibrant color-blocking on the sleeves.
To complete the assortment is the SHARK STA sneaker, which has been revamped with an exclusive design that incorporates our partnership and features a DRAGON’s claw pattern on the midsole.
