As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Batman: Arkham Shadow has sent waves of excitement coursing through my veins. Being a long-time fan of the Arkham series and an early adopter of VR technology, this game seems like a perfect storm of awesome for me.
Camouflaj has created the first virtual reality game within the Arkham series starring Batman, titled Batman: Arkham Shadow. Unlike its predecessor, Batman: Arkham VR, this new release aims to offer a more immersive experience for fans of both Batman and the Arkham series. Players can perform actions such as punching, gliding, using tools, and executing intricate melee combos in the style of Batman, all with improved virtual reality combat mechanics and traversal features in Batman: Arkham Shadow.
On October 22, Batman: Arkham Shadows will be accessible on Meta Quest and Meta Quest 3. Owners of these VR systems will receive a copy of the game and can embark on their adventure through Gotham City starting from its release day. Notably, while Batman: Arkham Shadows is designed for virtual reality, it’s expected to have approximately the same playtime as Batman: Arkham Asylum and align with the length of Iron Man VR.
How Long to Beat Batman: Arkham Shadow
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that in an interview with Android Central, the brilliant mind behind Batman: Arkham Shadow, Camouflaj, revealed that this upcoming masterpiece is expected to be around 11 hours long, similar to Arkham Asylum. With 52 achievements to unlock, completing Arkham Shadow will undoubtedly require a substantial investment of time.

In Arkham Shadow, battles demand players to execute punches, hooks, and uppercuts, which can become quite taxing. However, the game’s stage layout ensures there are ample pauses between fight scenes to prevent the game from becoming overly fatiguing.
In addition to engaging in battles, players will additionally devote time to accomplishing various tasks, including gathering Rat King Idols. These idols are hidden throughout the game and can take up a considerable amount of time. Some fans of Arkham may not be keen on the Riddler Challenges found in Arkham Knight, and they hope that collecting Rat King Idols won’t prove as laborious a task compared to the Riddler Challenges.
Make a note in your calendar that Batman: Arkham Shadow will be released on October 22nd, and stay updated with all the necessary information by following and subscribing to Gfinity Esports’ channels for timely updates.
