As a connoisseur of fine menswear, I must say that the latest collaboration between BEAMS PLUS and Lost & Found has truly piqued my interest! Having traversed the globe in search of the perfect pair of trousers, I’ve come across many an impressive ensemble, but this three-piece capsule from these two labels is something special.
The subdivision of BEAMS known as BEAMS PLUS focuses on collaborative efforts in creating authentic men’s fashion, such as their recent partnerships with J. Crew and Engineered Garments. For its latest collection, BEAMS PLUS has teamed up with Toronto-based menswear brand Lost & Found to produce a refined and functional three-piece capsule.
In 2014, the teams first connected in Japan, as representatives from The Lost & Found group met with BEAMS PLUS at their headquarters. This encounter sparked a relationship founded on the durable fabric of cotton ripstop.
Over the past two years, we’ve been working closely with BEAMS on a unique project, and now it’s officially complete! The harmonious relationship between our brands made brainstorming sessions effortless. Our go-to pant, the two-pleat style, has evolved into a full outfit using some of our preferred cotton ripstop fabric, as Lost & Found announced in a statement.
The capsule includes three items: the 2Pleats Cotton Ripstop pants, the MIL SHT-JAC Cotton Ripstop jacket, and the MIL Jungle Hat Cotton Ripstop. Each item is made from cotton ripstop fabric and comes in shades of black, navy, and olive green. The jacket has an open collar, side seam pockets on both sides (interior and exterior), military buttons down the middle, and a cropped fit with front and back pockets, cuffed hems, and a contrasting herringbone twill waistband. The pants have a cropped fit, feature front and back pockets, cuffed hems, and a contrasting herringbone twill waistband. The hat includes utility slots around the crown, a button flap-gusseted pocket secured with button closure, and a contrasting herringbone twill sweatband.
