Behind the Scenes of Bob The Drag Queen’s Iconic Round Table Showdown with Boston Rob!

Season 3 of “The Traitors” wrapped up several weeks ago, but both viewers and cast members are still expressing their opinions about one of the most unpredictable reality competition shows currently airing in 2025 TV lineup. The season was marked by betrayal, as Traitors constantly backstabbed each other, and it all began with an explosive confrontation between Boston Rob and Bob The Drag Queen. This encounter left a lasting impact, but Dylan Efron’s recent revelations about the elimination have taken things to another level.

On “The Squeeze” podcast featuring Tay and Taylor Lautner, Efron discussed his part in teaming up with Boston Rob to take down power player Bob The Drag Queen, which he helped accomplish. However, Efron, along with fellow winner Gabby Windey, may not have received payment yet, admitted that his role was not significant in the elimination. He also revealed the limited time available for discussions prior to the crucial moment.

We aren’t certain how much time during the real game situation we’ll have for planning before The Roundtable discussion. So, let’s make a plan, move to different parts of the room, and try to gain support. They summoned me for a private conversation, followed by Rob, leaving no time for strategy. Once out of the private conversation, it felt like the real game had ended. We need to strategize at The Roundtable. Did he manage to convince anyone? I certainly didn’t. For the first fifteen minutes of The Roundtable, he remained silent, and I thought nothing would come of it. But then he spoke, and it was as if I’d brought my popcorn out, watching in anticipation, thinking “whoa”.

Indeed, Boston Rob was exceptionally persuasive during his triumphant moment because he was positively certain that Bob The Drag Queen had betrayed him. Regrettably, Dylan Efron and the other contestants were already suspicious of Rob’s strategies, and in time, it became apparent that Rob used Bob as a scapegoat to relieve some of the pressure on himself.

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Peacock TV offers an array of NBC and Bravo reality shows, including “The Traitors,” all at your fingertips! With a monthly subscription starting as low as $7.99, it won’t break the bank. For those who prefer ad-free streaming and the convenience of downloading titles for offline viewing later, consider upgrading to Peacock Premium at an annual cost of $79.99. Hurry and grab this deal!

I’m curious as to why Dylan Efron’s commentary on “The Traitors” doesn’t include a defined duration for contestants to discuss their strategies. Perhaps it’s due to the show’s tight production schedule, which is said to span only a few weeks with long filming days. The length of challenges or The Roundtable discussions might influence the amount of time contestants have to strategize beforehand.

As a longtime reality TV participant, I sometimes find myself leaning toward skepticism, and it’s difficult not to consider if the producers of “The Traitors” might have intentionally kept Dylan Efron and Boston Rob apart before The Roundtable, giving them limited time to strategize, in an effort to protect Bob The Drag Queen. After all, as Efron mentioned on the podcast, Bob had been a key player and one of the more captivating individuals in “The Traitors” Season 3. If I were a producer striving for a top-tier season, I would be reluctant to lose such an engaging personality, though this is merely conjecture on my part and not an accusation against the show.

What matters most is that regardless of any off-screen events, the poorly executed gameplay spiraled into a disorderly season for everyone involved. It’s hardly surprising that The Faithful emerged victorious, although I must express my reservations about some winners this season, as I believe they didn’t fully deserve their wins. Here’s hoping Season 4 will offer an advantage to Traitors and encourage them not to backstab each other prematurely during the game.

Watch the entirety of The Traitors across on Peacock! Already, I can’t wait to find out who might join us in Seasons 4 and 5. Curious minds like mine are also eagerly anticipating which previous cast members could possibly return.
