Ben Stiller Dares Elon Musk to Finance ‘Tropic Thunder 2’

Ben Stiller has consistently expressed his opinions in a polite yet assertive manner, not neutral but certainly not as outspoken as Rachel Zegler in her infamous “F*** Trump.” Lately, these views have drawn the attention of Elon Musk and followers of both Musk and Trump. Going back to November 2024, Musk referred to Stiller as a “r*tard” over his vote for Kamala Harris, using a term related to Stiller’s 2008 film, Tropic Thunder. More recently, Musk shared misleading information suggesting that Stiller was paid by USAID for a humanitarian trip to Ukraine. These incidents were discussed during Stiller’s recent interview with Tim Miller for The Bulwark, leading to amusing speculation about a potential sequel to Tropic Thunder.

Host Tim Miller pointed out that Elon Musk, often referred to as the ‘Shadow President’, had tweeted about you using a derogatory term, which he claimed was a quote from the movie Tropic Thunder. This seems quite unusual, like saying something along the lines of ‘This is where we’re at?’ Given that he posted this offensive language towards you, and also reportedly assuming control of spaces in the West Wing, it’s hard not to feel a bit bewildered.

Stiller replied, “That part seems unrealistic to me. After all, given his tweets, I would expect him to be occupied with more important matters, like running his rocket ships or something. But it’s even more concerning that he’s so close to the President and influencing government decisions when he doesn’t hold an official position.

“Has he ever called you?” asked Miller.

“He has not.”

He casually suggested, “Hypothetically speaking, if you were to propose a role in ‘Tropic Thunder 2‘, it could potentially help us sort out our current predicament.

Stiller suggested, “Perhaps he’s planning to fund it.” He then jokingly remarked, “$2-$300 million would be nice.”

Stiller mentioned, “He might be the one providing the funds,” followed by a humorous comment, “I’d love an extra $2 billion or so.

“He’s financing, you give him a bit role —”

“I’m not gonna say Simple Jack,” interjected Stiller.

—”Instead, how about proposing, ‘In return for this, could we secure USAID assistance?’ I believe it’s a reasonable suggestion. They seem to appreciate attention,” Stiller replied.

It gives me pleasure to ensure he stays occupied with that task, so he won’t have time for other activities during the next four years.

Stiller expressed a puzzled tone by saying, “I’m struggling to grasp how we arrived at this point.” However, he also hinted at his worries regarding the significant influence of extremely wealthy individuals globally, which is indeed troubling. This situation, in his view, is not shocking given human nature’s propensity towards greed, power, and ambition – traits that have been recurrent throughout history. Yet, he acknowledges that these events are unfolding as expected, with no fresh insights to offer.

Elon Musk Reposted USAID Lies About Ben Stiller on Twitter (Currently Known as X)

Previously, actor Ben Stiller, USAID, and Elon Musk have shared digital content together. In a video posted on February 5, 2025 (which falsely claimed to be from E! News and had numerous misspellings), Elon Musk (alongside Donald Trump Jr. and Sidney Powell, who has been convicted of lying) spread misinformation stating that USAID paid various actors, including Ben Stiller, Angelina Jolie, Sean Penn, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Orlando Bloom, to visit Ukraine as part of a propaganda effort. The video alleged that Ben Stiller was paid $4 million for his trip.

The assertion, derived from a manipulated video, lacked credibility and was debunked by Ben Stiller on Twitter (formerly known as X). He stated emphatically that it was “completely false” and “untrue.” He further clarified that the Russian media were spreading lies about his humanitarian trip to Ukraine. Contrary to speculation, he personally funded this trip without any assistance from USAID or personal payments. Interestingly, Ben Stiller served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR). The UNHCR later issued a statement verifying that Stiller had never received compensation for his visit to Ukraine.

In response to questions from the media, we want to clarify that Ben Stiller, our Goodwill Ambassador, does not receive any payment for his work with UNHCR. Instead, he personally covers his travel expenses. Since 2016, Ben has been a dedicated supporter of UNHCR, and in 2018, he was officially appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador. We are deeply appreciative of Ben’s ongoing commitment to helping refugees and displaced individuals.

Currently streaming on Apple TV+ is the second season of Ben Stiller’s blockbuster show, “Severance”. As reported by The Independent and other sources, Elon Musk is allegedly taking apart the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for personal financial gain.
