Bentley’s New Continental GT Speed Makes Its European Debut

As a dedicated Bentley enthusiast and someone who has long admired the brand’s grandeur and performance, I am thrilled to witness the European debut of the new Continental GT Speed. With its powerful V8 engine combined with a plug-in battery, this model is not only the most potent road-going Bentley yet but also an important step towards sustainable luxury.

The European introduction was made by Bentley for the latest Continental GT Speed, marking it as their strongest and fastest road-ready Bentley yet, in its fourth generation.

The V8 engine and a 25.9 kWh plug-in battery take the front seat in this model’s high-performance setup. Reaching 0-100 km/h (around 0-62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and maxing out at an impressive 335 km/h (approximately 208 mph), this power duo delivers a thrilling ride. Notably, the car packs a punch with 782 hp and 737 lb-ft of torque, setting a new benchmark for Bentley. Furthermore, it boasts an “Ultra Performance Hybrid” powertrain with a 782 PS (horsepower) and 1000 Nm (newton-meters) output, offering an electric-only range of around 81 km (50 miles).

Some important performance features of this model are an active all-wheel drive system, all-terrain tires, an electronic limited-slip differential, and Bentley Dynamic Ride. The four-seat cabin exudes luxury with new sound insulation, textured leather seats, and revised quilting.

As a Bentley enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the upcoming Concours of Elegance at Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. According to Marco van Aalten, Head of Germany at Bentley Motors Europe, this event is the ideal setting for the European debut of the latest addition to the Grand Tourer family – the new Continental GT Speed in Convertible form. He envisions it proudly joining the most exquisite jewelry, fashion pieces, and exclusive experiences on display.

The upcoming Bentley Continental GT Speed will be unveiled for the first time in Europe at the Concours of Elegance in Tegernsee, Germany, which takes place from the 26th to the 27th of July.
