Social media sensation Avani Gregg joins the cast of “Breathe Deep,” an upcoming action-thriller that takes place within the digital realm, but introduces an unexpected twist: it’s not just humans who are navigating this virtual world – sharks are present too!
Ingrid Torelli, known for her roles in “Late Night With The Devil” and “The End”, and Michiel Huisman, recognized from “Echo 3”, “Game of Thrones”, and the upcoming “Rebel Moon”, will share the screen in the upcoming film by writer-director James Kermack, who has previously worked on “Hi-Lo Joe” and is currently working on “Art of the Jump”.
Or, more concisely:
Ingrid Torelli and Michiel Huisman, known for their work in various productions, will star together in an upcoming film by writer-director James Kermack.
Torelli takes on the role of Addy Frost, a popular explorer who ventures back to the Devil’s Triangle 13 years after experiencing her father’s demise due to a shark attack. However, when she mirrors that experience by putting on an old-fashioned diving suit similar to her dad’s and diving deep into the ocean, she is thrust into a struggle for survival against a menacing great white shark.
Producer Julien Loeffler stated, “Breathe Deep” is a survival thriller of intense nature, boasting a distinctive directorial approach. The narrow viewpoint within the diving suit will make viewers feel confined alongside our protagonist, immersing them in her emotional odyssey.
Filming for “Breathe Deep” is scheduled to start this summer on the Mediterranean Sea. Production is being handled by Featuristic Films’ Julien Loeffler and James Kermack, while Cornerstone Films manages worldwide distribution. They will present this project to potential buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin next week.
Kermack collaborated with G.D. Wright, the author of the crime novel “After the Storm”, on writing the screenplay. The visual effects for the movie will be handled by Atomic Arts, known for works like “Alien: Romulus” and “Nosferatu”. Meanwhile, Halo Post, responsible for “The Brutalist” and “Return to Silent Hill”, is taking care of post-production. The technical team boasts Denis Lagrange, an underwater cinematographer who has worked on films such as “Point Break” and “Dark Tide”, and Walter Mair, a composer whose credits include “Squid Game” and “The Bricklayer”.
Among the films scheduled on Cornerstone’s Berlin lineup, you’ll find Mike Leigh’s upcoming, currently unnamed feature – a sequel to “Hard Truths” starring Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Additionally, there’s Chris Cottam’s comedy about ballroom dancing, titled “The Light Fantastic,” featuring Jeremy Irvine and Rupert Everett. Lastly, Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly’s thriller, “Wild World” with Isabel May, will also be screened.
