Best New Tracks: Mustard, Ice Spice, Jorja Smith and More

As a seasoned gamer and music aficionado, I’ve seen it all – from groundbreaking releases to forgettable flops. This week’s Best New Tracks lineup, however, is a breath of fresh air. With a diverse range of artists and genres, it truly showcases the depth and diversity of the music industry.

At the end of the musical week, TopMob has collected the most impressive new releases for this edition of our Best New Tracks series.

As a long-time music enthusiast with a deep appreciation for various genres and artists, I’m always thrilled to learn about exciting new releases in the music scene. This week’s lineup is particularly noteworthy, boasting some highly anticipated albums from established acts like Mustard, Ice Spice, Empire Of The Sun, and Porter Robinson.

Mustard – Faith of a Mustard Seed

Mustard, the acclaimed music producer with a rich legacy, has announced the release of his fourth solo album titled “Faith of a Mustard Seed“. This new project comes after his recent collaborations on “Not Like Us”. The album consists of 14 tracks and boasts an impressive lineup of guest artists.

Young Nudy x Metro Boomin – “John Wayne”

An anticipated collaboration between Young Nudy and Metro Boomin has emerged, even though it’s not a joint album. With an accompanying video that fits the theme, “John Wayne” is Nudy’s return to the spotlight. His last studio release was the remixed version of “Peaches & Eggplants,” featuring Sexyy Red and Latto. This energetic track comes with a fittingly Western-themed music video.

Cordae x Lil Wayne – “Saturday Mornings”

In simpler terms, Cordae is back with a fresh new song called “Saturday Mornings.” Featuring collaborations from Lil Wayne, this track takes us on a trip down memory lane. Their musical compatibility, last seen in the hit track “Sinister,” remains as strong as ever.

Smino x Cousin Stizz – “Nokia”

In a nostalgic tone reminiscent of that feeling, Smino looked back to the early 2000s for his third release of the year. After “Polynesian,” he teamed up with collaborator Cousin Stizz once more for “Nokia.” The track opens with the catchy “Original Tune,” and the two trade clever rhymes over a throwback beat.

Ice Spice – Y2K!

Ice Spice has made her entrance into the music scene. The Princess of the People has officially released her anticipated first album, named “Y2K!” following the success of her debut EP “Like… Y2K! ” from last year. This full-length LP includes collaborations with Travis Scott, Gunna and Central Cee. Consisting of 10 tracks, the pre-released singles “Think U The Sh*t (Fart)”, “Phat Butt”, and “Gimmie a Light” have stood out as noteworthy solo efforts from Ice Spice in this collection.

Porter Robinson – SMILE 😀

Porter Robinson’s third studio album, signified by the emoticon 😀 SMILE, represents unexplored ground for the producer. He draws inspiration from internet culture and pop-punk music, resulting in a unique release that engaged fans both digitally and physically. The album’s first singles, “Knock Yourself Out XD,” “Cheerleader,” and “Russian Roulette,” set the tone for Robinson to explore deeper, less polished aspects of himself across its 10 tracks.

Jorja Smith – “High”

I recently got hooked on Childish Gambino’s “Bando Stone & The New World,” but this week, Jorja Smith dropped a new solo track that left me mesmerized. Named “High,” this soulful number is a deep reflection for Smith. According to her, it’s about discovering an inner friend and holding onto the high points, even during the tough times.

Empire Of The Sun – Ask That God

In simpler terms, the beloved Australian duo, Empire Of The Sun, has released their first album in nearly a decade. Named “Ask That God,” this 12-track collection is their latest addition to their extensive music catalog. It’s been eight years since their last album, “Two Vines.” Singer Luke Steele describes this new work as a “rebirth” for the band.

DJ Premier x Lil Wayne x Rick Ross x Big Sean – “Ya Don’t Stop”

DJ Premier has brought together an impressive lineup on his new solo single titled “Ya Don’t Stop.” This latest release continues a series of productions from the skilled beatmaker. For a long time, Premier had desired to team up Rick Ross and Lil Wayne for a track. He shared this ambition in a recent statement. Fortuitously, Big Sean approached him requesting a scratch hook – leading to both artists joining forces on this energetic track and exchanging verses as a result.

Ravyn Lenae x Childish Gambino – “One Wish”

As I eagerly await the arrival of Bird’s Eye by Ravyn Lenae, she keeps expanding the project’s captivating world through the release of enchanting singles. The most recent addition to this collection is “One Wish,” featuring Childish Gambino, which arrives alongside a visually stunning music video that feels like a movie scene.
