In the sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, we pick up right where the original left off, with Henry and Hans handing over a crucial missive to Lord Otto von Bergow. While the story unfolds in entirely fresh locations, several characters from the initial game pop up during Henry’s journey.
In certain scenes, these characters may make brief appearances as easter eggs, providing a sense of consistency throughout KCD2. However, they can also significantly impact the storyline, sometimes playing pivotal roles in the battle against Sigismund and his allies. Some of these characters might have been overlooked, but they gradually assume more significant positions in the struggle against Sigismund’s coalition.
10.
Henry Of Skalitz
Born to a blacksmith and a nobleman, Henry from Skalitz proceeds on his voyage towards Trosky accompanied by Hans Capon, with the objective of delivering a critical message to an ally of Sigismund. Even in the second installment, Henry remains without his father’s sword and without retribution against the individual who took the lives of his parents.
In the opening stages of this game, an argument with Hans sent me back to my cunning strategies that earned me victories in the initial installment. Along the way, I reconnected with a few familiar faces who guided me toward my personal aspirations, all while stirring up resistance against the treacherous Sigismund.
9.
Hans Capon

As the inheritor of Rattay and a confidant, if not something more, to Henry, Hans Capon cuts an elegant and alluring figure who frequently finds himself in predicaments. With Henry continuing to serve as protector and legal advisor, Hans is rescued on numerous occasions during his travels through Trosky and Kuttenberg.
In KCD2, Hans has the opportunity to display his proficiency with the bow and undergo a personal transformation, proving his resilience amidst near-death experiences like being trapped in a crumbling tower. The question of Hans’s romantic future remains unclear, as he is betrothed to another in exchange for the army that rescues him, leaving open the possibility of bachelorhood or a passionate relationship.
8.
Father Godwin

In the initial game, Father Godwin played a supporting role; however, in KCD2, he assumes a more prominent position, sharing the playable character status with Henry. Due to the storyline of the first game, Godwin is forced out of his parish and instead devotes his time to pursuits like women and excessive drinking.
Father Godwin remains steadfast in his affection for the Lord, yet he continues his practice of rituals and prayers with the intention of aiding souls in transitioning to another realm. In King’s Quest II (KCD2), it is Father Godwin who is tasked by Sir Radzig and Lord Hanush to investigate the whereabouts of Henry and Hans, as they have failed to return from their journey.
Looting as Godwin is pointless, as you cannot transfer items to Henry or even buy things as Godwin.
7.
Hanush Of Leipa

Deliverance 2.
Hanush significantly influences Hans’ decision to marry, securing the lineage of their household and instilling a stronger sense of duty in him. Yet, Hanush continues to view Henry as an ordinary servant, even assigning him the task of sharpening a sword shortly after their reunion.
6.
Sir Radzig Kobyla

In my gaming world, I’m Henry, son of Radzig Kobyla, once the noble ruler of Skalitz, a place that sadly met its end in the game’s tragic events. Radzig, a fair lord indeed, took me under his wing, treating me as his true-born son after giving me the chance to show my worth. Without him, I would have never ascended from my humble beginnings to stand by Hans’ side as his protector and trusted ally.
In another words, when Henry was dispatched to Trosky to aid Hans in delivering a letter, it was ultimately Radzig who ensured his safety by arranging for Godwin to come to their rescue. Eventually, Henry managed to complete his mission of returning his adoptive father’s sword to Radzig, and the lord recognized its significance to the young blacksmith, choosing to give it to him instead.
5.
Jobst Of Moravia

In the grand scheme of Rattay’s political landscape, I find myself among the influential figures, sharing ties with the likes of Sigismund, King Wenceslas, and none other than my esteemed cousin, Jobst. This powerful lord of Bohemia, whose influence extends far beyond our immediate surroundings, is a crucial player in the first game’s narrative. As events unfold, it is Jobst who pens the vital letter that Henry and Lord Capon deliver to Von Bergow, a testament to his stature and strategic prowess.
By the time Henry arrives at Kuttenberg, Jobst has become a significant figure opposing Sigismund. Despite his efforts to negotiate a deal that Henry and the Dry Devil’s crew find insufficient to influence the war, he is. At the assembly of nobles in Raborsch, Godwin manages to persuade Jobst to contribute funds for assembling an army.
4.
Istvan Toth

A ruthless man named Istvan Toth was appointed lord by the traitor Sigismund, and he led his troops through Sasau, plundering and devastating wherever they went in a bid to earn the region for himself if he succeeded. Fortunately, Henry managed to halt his rampage, but tragically, Toth took Henry’s father’s sword as he fled.
In King’s Court 2 (KCD2), Henry continues his search for Istvan. This time, he spots Istvan hidden among Sigismund’s adversaries. Caught by Istvan, Henry manages to break free and eventually achieves his long-desired vengeance. He slays Istvan and reclaims his father’s sword, which had been a long-standing goal for him.
3.
Mutt And Pebbles
Henry’s most faithful and shaggy companions, Mutt and Pebbles, not only provide unwavering loyalty but also offer skills that can be improved to unlock special benefits relevant to both. Initially obtained in the first game as a gift from Lord Hanush, Pebbles might have been overshadowed since she could be traded for more superior horses later on.
Originally hailing from Skaliz, Mutt was a humble canine character who assumed a more substantial part in the Woman’s Lot DLC of the initial game. This expansion also unveiled the Houndmaster skill that later appeared in King’s Bounty 2’s main game. In the sequel, Mutt plays a crucial role in several missions and even stars in a particularly lengthy one where you reconnect after being apart.
After spending a substantial amount of time on Pebbles, you’ll be able to reveal a secret bonus feature that makes her one of the top horses in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
2.
Markvart Von Aulitz

In the initial game, one of Sigismund’s most trusted allies and military leader, Markvart von Aulitz, is introduced as one of our early adversaries. Notably, he was the perpetrator of Henry’s parents’ murder. Subsequently, he played a significant role in the devastation of the Sasau region.
In the sequel to King’s Crown DLC (KCD2), Markvart reappears, commanding Sigismund’s troops against Henry and his allies during the siege of Suchdol. After slipping away from the castle for several days, Henry ultimately confronts a weakened Markvart, exacting revenge in a somber exchange before Markvart’s demise.
1.
Erik

In the first game, Erik, who can be considered as Istvan Toth’s adoptive son, played a minor yet significant role in the siege of Sasau. He was more like a loyal confidant to the ruthless Istvan. However, after Istvan’s death in KCD2, it becomes apparent that Erik had a stronger bond with Istvan than initially suggested.
In contrast to Henry, Erik determinedly sets out to avenge Istvan’s death by confronting Henry in a duel. However, this confrontation serves only to divert Henry’s attention while Sigismund’s troops secretly fortify against Suchdol. As a result, Henry is compelled to withdraw from the duel before it’s completed.
