Ahead of the scheduled announcement on January 14th, the singer’s official Instagram account shared a message about the delay and a charitable contribution. The statement read: “Due to the destruction caused by the ongoing wildfires in and around Los Angeles, we must postpone the announcement to a future date. My thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy, hoping for healing and rebuilding. We are fortunate to have our courageous first responders who tirelessly work to safeguard the Los Angeles community.

I’m thrilled to share that the BeyGOOD LA Fire Relief Fund, led by none other than Beyoncé, has generously donated a staggering $2.5 million! This aid is going directly to families who tragically lost their homes and vital community organizations at the heart of the relief efforts.
