Akshay Kumar and Tabu are preparing to work together again in Priyadarshan’s film titled Bhooth Bangla. The actress recently shared a photo on her social media platform to announce the start of shoot for this upcoming horror-comedy. A new image from the Jaipur sets has further fueled fan anticipation.
On January 15th, Balaji Motion Pictures shared an image on their social media platform, which depicted Akshay Kumar and Tabu in a warm embrace. This image marked their reunion after almost 19 years, for the movie “Bhooth Bangla”. Akshay wore a black hoodie, while Tabu looked stunning in a purple one. Their expressions of joy clearly demonstrated their enthusiasm for this project.
25 years later, and I’m just over the moon about it! “Timeless classics only get better with age” – that’s what they say, and @priyadarshan.official, @akshaykumar, and @tabutiful are living proof of that! They’re back together again for #BhootBangla in Jaipur. Can’t wait to see the magic unfold!

A few days ago, Tabu gave a behind-the-scenes look as she started filming for the movie. In the photo she posted, the clapper board of the film was visible on a table adorned with candles in the foreground. The clapboard read “Balaji Telefilms Ltd Presents Bhooth Bangla”. Tabu’s caption for the post was “We are trapped here.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, a well-known filmmaking team, are joining forces once more after creating several hit movies like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Khatta Meetha, and De Dana Dan in the past.
Last year, in September 2024, the movie “Bhooth Bangla” was officially announced. This production, supported by Ekta Kapoor, is planned for a theatre release on April 2, 2026.
