On April 16, crypto events like Blockchain Life and Token2049 faced an unexpected turn of events in Dubai as rainfall reached unprecedented levels within a day, leading to schedule modifications. Blockchain Life delayed its start due to traffic issues caused by the heavy rain.

Despite the city’s infrastructure being affected by the heavy rainfall, Emirates airline had to suspend check-in services for departing passengers from Dubai between 8 a.m. and midnight on Apr. 17 due to operational difficulties.
