Bill Burr and Shane Gillis are teaming up for a charity comedy event, with all proceeds going towards assisting people impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
Comedians announced through their Instagram posts on Tuesday that they have an upcoming event, which is being organized by Live Nation and scheduled for Monday, January 27th, at the Wiltern Theatre. The tickets are now available for purchase on Live Nation’s official website, as of Tuesday.

Funds raised through the charity event will be directed towards the Wildfire Relief Program, an organization running on GoFundMe, which is actively assisting with relief and recovery efforts in Los Angeles County where wildfires are currently raging. The program aims to collect $8 million for those impacted by these fires, and as of Tuesday, they have amassed more than $5 million.
On Jimmy Kimmel Live! last Tuesday, Burr discussed the tragic wildfires and criticized online responses to this natural catastrophe.
He jokingly expressed his gratitude and praised everyone’s performance, stating that it was exceptional, unlike what he perceives on the internet. He then added, ‘Imagine suggesting to fly a helicopter into the ocean amidst 100 knot winds! You wouldn’t dare do that!’ Burr also criticized CNN and Fox News for failing to highlight the insurance companies who have recently refused to renew home insurance policies before the fires.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled about the upcoming comedy show by Burr and Gillis! This announcement follows a series of events aimed at helping causes close to our hearts. For instance, the FireAid concert is one such event where music legends like Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, Pink, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Tate McRae, Dave Matthews, and John Mayer will take the stage. Olivia Rodrigo and No Doubt have also been added to the lineup, with Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Adrian Young reuniting for a special performance. Can’t wait to see these amazing artists come together to support wildfire victims!
